Stanford had 200 yards against them and we had 300. Stanford gave up more yards. We had more first downs. Same turnover margin. Stanford was never in the game and neither was RU. Point spread was tighter.

I want to forgo this better than Stanford angle and focus on the possibility that Rutgers might still be improving every week....it becomes more difficult to prove that now that the most talented player is injured, but it is a promising thought.

I think Stanford would beat us comfortably. That said...there was no shame in losing at Washington opening weekend. We had a nightmare 1st quarter and then played ok the rest of the game other than the special teams breakdowns. After today we will have 3 losses, 2 of those on the road against Top 10 teams and the other a 4th quarter TD vs a team that played in the Rose Bowl last January who returned their QB and Thorpe Award winning CB. It's not like we are getting blown out at home by South Florida;)

I was at the RU game at Washington and the Huskies played their 2nd team for most of the second half ( unlike last night). The Huskies could have scored 80 points against us if Petersen wanted to.

Point should be that Washington is really good and maybe RU is getting better as they showed vs Iowa.

You're right. We run table and beat OSU and then Michigan .

You are partially right....any other FBS QB with a pulse would be upgrade for us now.
We do need to add talent at the LB and OL big time.
