We have no chance against GW

this program has been beating us for years...remember Yinka Dare's shot over Charlie Weiler to send it into overtime...it took me two weeks to get over that lost, I was so sick and despondent

Does anyone know if GW has a pratice facility. I know the Smith Center is pretty much a dump. And they don't draw much there.

Just wondering how that program can win over the years. Lonergan is a fantastic coach. How does he do it.

Now Yinka's son is our QB of the future. Ironic!!

I really like Lonergan and the job he has done at GW.
We beat GW team in Mike Rice's last year. Lonergan had two down years at his start, but got good very fast. This was not a seven year rebuild. They were good in year 3. Just wonder how that happens for a place with limited resources. And I don't care they "don't play in the Big Ten". They will smack the crap out of us this weekend.

Charlie Weiler would be a major upgrade over any of our big men, (except Freeman). How sad!

We are 23-20 vs. George Washington lifetime. GW won the last two but we won 3 in a row before that.

11-16-14 We lost at home 70-53.
12-4-13 We lost 93-87 at GW.
12-11-12 We won 68-65 at home.
3-5-95 We won 80-73 in Philadelphia
2-28-95 We won 91-87 at home

1995?

Without Freeman, our chances of beating GW are pretty slim. Hopefully, he'll be back for the Monmouth game.

We need to hit at least 10 3-pointers in DC to come away with a victory.

We went small last night and got harassed on the boards. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Sanders, Williams, Laurent, Foreman, and Lewis.

I hope to see better from Lewis come big play. That is when he shined last year.

No way...he isn't moving great now and has a huge brace on the knee. It would be idiotic to rush him back. We need to be sure he is healthy before returning. I am not a doctor, but if there is a bigger issue why not sit him out and red shirt him.

Imagine he suits up for a half and is still hobbled and he ends up sitting out another few months and then we cant use a red shirt. I am not 100% on the rules here.

Remember it well. I also go back further to their stud Mike Brown in the 80s and their nutty coach Gerry Gimblestob. Those were fun times .
Didn't they have another big guy back then, Mike Zagardo, who tried to pick a fight with Bailey in a game?

How did Freeman get hurt?

I thought he was only going to be out about two weeks. I had no idea it appears to be that serious. If that's the case, I agree. Don't rush it.

Not sure...the Wake Forrest game he was limping. I am going to guess it wasn't a specific event...at least not at a gamne,
It's a shame he got hurt. He , Sanders and Laurent are all nice additions to the team...For all the criticism leveled against EJ on this board, he did bring in some nice players that you can build around. If Williams could consistently hit from outside and Foreman continue to improve , there is hope yet for this team.

Smith Center is far from a dump!

Freeman will not be available Saturday. Will be re evaluated at that time. Team will be in full finals mode.

Hopefully Freeman rests up and can play against Monmouth which is the 20th, if not the games after that are FDU/UMassLowell which RU probably doesn't need him to win. Plenty of time to get healthy before Dec 30 vs Indiana.

Never thought I would see someone say that they hoped an injured player was healthy enough to play the likes of Monmouth! Indiana, Duke, and Stanford yes but not Monmouth.

Granted Monmouth beat some P5 teams but to hope for a player to return from injury to play Monmouth.....never saw that coming.
