We can win, if their bus gets lost. What an impressive program. Can we lure their coach away?
Anyway, it will be ugly.
this program has been beating us for years...remember Yinka Dare's shot over Charlie Weiler to send it into overtime...it took me two weeks to get over that lost, I was so sick and despondent
We beat GW team in Mike Rice's last year. Lonergan had two down years at his start, but got good very fast. This was not a seven year rebuild. They were good in year 3. Just wonder how that happens for a place with limited resources. And I don't care they "don't play in the Big Ten". They will smack the crap out of us this weekend.I really like Lonergan and the job he has done at GW.
1995?We are 23-20 vs. George Washington lifetime. GW won the last two but we won 3 in a row before that.
11-16-14 We lost at home 70-53.
12-4-13 We lost 93-87 at GW.
12-11-12 We won 68-65 at home.
3-5-95 We won 80-73 in Philadelphia
2-28-95 We won 91-87 at home
Without Freeman, our chances of beating GW are pretty slim. Hopefully, he'll be back for the Monmouth game.
We need to hit at least 10 3-pointers in DC to come away with a victory.
Didn't they have another big guy back then, Mike Zagardo, who tried to pick a fight with Bailey in a game?Remember it well. I also go back further to their stud Mike Brown in the 80s and their nutty coach Gerry Gimblestob. Those were fun times .
How did Freeman get hurt?No way...he isn't moving great now and has a huge brace on the knee. It would be idiotic to rush him back. We need to be sure he is healthy before returning. I am not a doctor, but if there is a bigger issue why not sit him out and red shirt him.
Imagine he suits up for a half and is still hobbled and he ends up sitting out another few months and then we cant use a red shirt. I am not 100% on the rules here.

I thought he was only going to be out about two weeks. I had no idea it appears to be that serious. If that's the case, I agree. It's a shame he got hurt. He , Sanders and Laurent are all nice additions to the team...For all the criticism leveled against EJ on this board, he did bring in some nice players that you can build around. If Williams could consistently hit from outside and Foreman continue to improve , there is hope yet for this team. Not sure...the Wake Forrest game he was limping. I am going to guess it wasn't a specific event...at least not at a gamne,
Hopefully Freeman rests up and can play against Monmouth which is the 20th, if not the games after that are FDU/UMassLowell which RU probably doesn't need him to win. Plenty of time to get healthy before Dec 30 vs Indiana.
It's a home game for GW..no bus ride needed...We can win, if their bus gets lost.
Really lolNow Yinka's son is our QB of the future. Ironic!!

I would prefer a big man that could get shots off against B1G defenders. A Weiler type would be getting shots swatted into the stands.Charlie Weiler played his ass off. I would love to have a Weiler type.
I loved Charlie Weiler. He played with heart every second. Nobody had more shots roll out of the basket in the history of the NCAA.Charlie Weiler played his ass off. I would love to have a Weiler type.
