...but since we'll get a good pass rush and our LBs are solid, I think it is going to be a lot harder for WSU to score than it will be for them to move the ball. If our linemen were the ones who were kicked off, we'd be in deeper trouble against Wazzu, but my sense is that our offense will put up plenty of points, and our defense will stop enough TDs to win us the game.

The thing is if our CBs do whiff on their WRs, we need our safeties to deliver punishing hits so that later on in the game they start hesitating. We could use a joe lefeged/duron harmon type saftey that can hammer the opposition on each tackle.

As WSU drives closer to our end zone it jams the players up, which gives our line more of a chance to get pressure. If our DBs close quickly and tackle well, I think our ability to limit touchdowns will make a difference. I don't think they're going to stop us from moving the ball on the ground, and our air attack will develop as Laviano adjusts to being in the game as the starter, and how our defense does when Wazzu gets close to our end zone will be a big factor in how this game goes.

I just don't see Wazzu stopping our run game, and it should get worse for them as the game goes on. Our pass defense should get better as the game goes on, so I see a 10+-point win.
