But, the sad truth is that - barring a miracle - Flood will be back next year. Barchi doesn't want Hermann to spend any money on a good coach and there still isn't enough support for the AD or the university to do so. Unless, of course, Towers wants to personally bankroll Flood's replacement.

I hope your right The longer you keep Flood the better it is for Penn State.

I mean, the recruiting seems to be getting better but the preparation and game day coaching is awful.

These make excellent "Fire Flood' placards:

Recruiting getting better ....WTF you talking about ?
You see our prospects for the OL ? You see the mass exodus of NJ talent to places like PSU ?
Some people don't get it.

Maybe I need to be more clear for people like you. I mean, that this year's recruiting class is rated better than last (and better than the year before, after all the top ranked recruits jumped ship). So, yeah, I can understand how you don't comprehend empirical analysis, but over this three year cohort, Flood's recruiting has improved.

p.s. Your angry about the state of the program right now. I understand. But, if you disrespect me like that, in person, I won't respond as kindly.

Flood has a history of decommits during his brief tenure and that was during a decent season. I would shy away from trying to tout this years ranking in September after the perfect storm thats been going on. If he can both keep his job and this class together it would be nothing short of a miracle.

Enough of this crap. Posts like this do no good and just stir the pot more and makes many people realize that we have fans that don't either underdstand much or are complete idiots and negative on everything.

There is no question there are some problems with the program and administration and the media's handling of things is even.worse. But continuously trying to dump on Kyle just adds fuel to the fire. He.made a mistake and is paying for it but recruiting still appears to be solid and for anyone to say this class is not one of the best in recent years is foolish and has no proof to support this.

Stop giving other schools info and reasons yo find fault with things. It certainly doesn't help the general public perception.

Get upset about things like the front page story in Sunday's SL which discussed gut courses st Rutgers and makes it sound like only football players take these courses. Every single university nationwide has a group of courses that are well know as average boosters and profs who are friendly and make the courses easy whether it be Ivy League, Stanford, Duke, ND, B1G, ACC etc. Stories like this which implicate Rutgers are both useless and unfair and just are written to pile on recent problems.

Recruiting is solid? How many of the top recruits in new jersey did we get last year? How many have committed this year?
