...if you still care, lol...
After a glorious week of gorgeous weather all over the Northeast (and down OC NJ where we'll be all week), the weather for Saturday's game at PSU is very reminiscent of last week at this time looking ahead to WSU. In both cases, the "official" forecast looked to be warm and dry, but the forecast discussions mentioned the uncertainty around low pressure and potential showers 6-7 days out.
So, right now the official forecast is calling for warm and dry conditions for Saturday day and evening, with daytime highs around 80F and temps dropping through the 70s and into the low 60s by the end of the game (normal high/low is 71/52 at that time). However, it being 6-7 days out, uncertainty is always high and here is what the forecast discussion says, noting that there are precip chances:
.LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
AFTER THAT...RIDGING BUILDS OVER THE EASTERN HALF OF THE COUNTRY
AND THE CENTER OF THE SURFACE HIGH SHIFTS NORTH...BRINGING
CONTINUED DRY CONDITIONS AND WARMING TEMPERATURES. BY MIDWEEK
HIGHS WILL CLIMB ABOVE SEASONAL NORMALS.
THIS EXTENDED PERIOD OF DRY WEATHER SHOULD LAST THROUGH THE END OF
THE WORK WEEK...BEFORE A SHORTWAVE APPROACHES FROM THE GREAT LAKES
AND BRINGS THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN TO CENTRAL PA NEXT WEEKEND.
