1. Iowa - based on on-field performance to date, as opposed to preseason hype, the Hawkeyes deserve the #1 spot right now.
2. Northwestern - for the same reasons, NW deserves the nod over OSU and MSU.
3. OSU - Indiana was a tough out, and Zeke might be the best RB in the country. They needed him yesterday.
4. MSU - wow have they been underwhelming thus far. Purdue had a chance to tie or take the lead late in the 4th quarter. Purdue.
5. Michigan - Harbaugh sure has them playing great defense. Watch out if their offense gels.
6. Indiana - they might be for real. But not sure what happens to them if Sudfeld and Howard are out for any appreciable length of time.
7. Illinois - don't look now, but our old friend Bill Cubit has the Illini at 4-1.
8. Penn State - they struggled to beat Army at home, but they were missing their top two RBs.
9. Wisconsin - their offense really struggled at home without Clement. They still lack playmakers in the passing game.
10. Minnesota - the only reason they get the nod over Nebraska for the 10 spot is that they played TCU pretty tough in week 1. Their offense is like watching paint dry.
11. Nebraska - they blew a 13-0 lead to Illinois. Will their fan base start clamoring to send their new coach back to Oregon State from whence he came?
12. Rutgers - a bye week in which nothing bad happened off the field must be considered a success.
13. Purdue - they played MSU tough, which is more than we can say for...
14. Maryland - wow, is their offense putrid. And you think WE have quarterback issues?! HCRE is firmly on the hot seat. The only "Movement" that will be happening down there is the mass exodus of recruits, including Haskins who will probably end up at a factory.
