Michigan lost at home to Long Beach State, giving up 94 points.
Did not see that one coming.

Maryland looks terrible.Maryland down to Nova 28-11
It's early but Big Ten looks like trash this season
Why not make a run at it this year? As long as Purdue is #1 when they come to town, we can't lose!I'm typically a B1G defender but the conference looks like it is in for a rough year...
Let's just win it next year
Maryland 15 points in 1st half. LolMaryland is getting crushed down 20 in the first half. Keep in mind Villanova is I believe coming off a loss to UPenn
I see no reason why Rutgers can't finish top 5 in the B1G if the B1G continues to lay eggs.
The Gavitt games will end up 4–4 – – correct?Maryland down to Nova 28-11

It almost looks like they forgot how to shoot. Hasn’t seen something like this in a long time. Don’t even think Villanova is that good but Maryland has missed so many easy shots , open shots , they looked like they have been drugged tonightMaryland with an unbelievably bad half offensively.
In our game against Georgetown, Fernandes missed an easy layup. It was like a layup line layup. I thought to myself I don’t think I’ve ever seen a D1 basketball player miss an unrushed, uncontested layup like that. Maryland gave me that same feeling for the whole first half.It almost looks like they forgot how to shoot. Hasn’t seen something like this in a long time. Also there's a weird thing where most of the BIG tourney teams - given we have good depth but not elite teams - are 6 seed+ but then ESPN yells why are all these BIG teams losing before the elite 8? Well... because we are 7 and 8 seeds and Kansas and Duke and Carolina are.... better?I haven't felt the B1G was the "best" conference for awhile now, but what I "DID" feel despite the early exits in March every year is that it has been the DEEPEST conference, top to bottom, for a bunch of seasons now, with 10-12 solid teams each and every year, making it the "toughest". To me, toughest/deepest is different than "best". And that because of that, there's some validity to the idea that the deepest means most teams are beat up after they get through the conference grind. That said, that may not be the case this year, but who cares. Still gonna be a grind.
Why? Everyone else can dream except Rutgers. Several teams projected ahead of us are always given the benefit of the doubt. Rutgers, on the other hand, has to prove themselves continually. All I'm saying is if you set the bar low at two and clear it at 3, that's nothing to celebrate. Aim for ten, and if you finish at 8, that's a real accomplishment.Easy now, pump the brakes…..all of us were just hoping that the guard play would improve and Fernandes would actually do something in a game. Now we’re finishing top 5. Let’s let these guys gel together a little more and keep improving.
I would've thought a top 4 finish this season was crazy talk after Princeton, but looking around, why the heck not us?Why? Everyone else can dream except Rutgers. It's early. Let us dream. Don't piss in my cereal until February. 🤣It is November 17th

1 bite muffin? You might piss in that too.
I think I know the play you are taking about but I had the opposite reaction. Noah broke the defenders ankles and blew by him, but missed the layup. While it would have been better to convert the shot, that was the play where I thought Noah was finally taking it up a notch and looked like the player we thought he was going to be.In our game against Georgetown, Fernandes missed an easy layup. He started... scored the first point of the game... hasn't scored since.Paul coming off the bench now?
