What Ever Happened to Th3 Hype?

Lots of views, very few responses, that should tell you what most here think about him.

RutgersMO - wouldn't worry about recruiting. The chances Hobbs brings the staff backer not good. So whoever thir recruiting might not be in play in the long run.

Tells me that a lot of people are interested to know what happened to him, but no one has any information.

I know he was allergic to negativity, and made noises about not coming back a few times. I can't imagine he'd have any interest posting at this point.

He killed it in Rice's first recruiting class. Came out of nowhere and had all the info that year.

He was very high on Cox if I recall and very, very down on Jordan. He kind of struck me as the type to stop playing, take their ball and go home.

He struck me as the type of person who had a high degree of information and had no need to share it with anyone, who was more than willing to stop extending that courtesy when people stopped extending him courtesy.

Loss for the board that he doesn't post anymore, but this board can't have nice things.

Lost some excellent posters over the years.....LFBall, LCP, many others have dropped out.

If Eddie comes back to continue working on his "masterpiece" the good news is we will not lose many season ticket holders.....the only ones left are part of the "woodwork".

Somebody told me that Hype was a former player who never got to actually suit up for MR. Don't know if that's true though.

Rice asked me point blank who Hype was at one point...they didn't even know.

I had brief conversations with him back in the day, and we were supposed to meet down in DC at one point, but it never happened.

Although I don't know for sure, I would bet good money his source was David Cox.

Hype was a spark plug sort of poster...he definitely knows basketball, and definitely had his opinions. Problem with that is, when you are wrong on recruiting...you take a ton of heat for it. Trust me I know.

I never had anything against the guy...and would welcome him back to this forum with open arms if he chooses to do so.

The remaining season ticket holders are all craftsman meticulous in their work .

I never left. Just choose not to post anymore. Praised when right, crucified when wrong. I told you all I hated what EJ was doing, and I still think he sucks. The proof you need is in the product he is putting on the floor and next to him on the bench. Now look at where we stand. I do not know Cox, have never spoke to him in any capacity. I will admit my source became less and less reliable when the MR regime broke up, but he's still connected to the area, and I have tons of information which I now know is better to keep to myself. I can't take the heat, so I have chosen to stay the hell out of the kitchen.

For the record, I do not like Hurley either, he is Mike Rice-lite. I do not support the RU program as strongly as I once did because of the direction it has turned. What can I say, I am a fickle fan. Just being honest. I now closely follow and support UMD, UVA, and VCU.

...continue on with the conspiracy theories....

How about those Terps? I had my doubts when Shaq Cleare and Seth Allen transferred out but your boy Cox was recruiting Melo and then BOOM! Eddie sends Cox packing and Melo to College Park and now Turge can do no wrong. I like the coaching staff and adding Juan Dixon was a GREAT move for the team and the fans!
As far as UVA is concerned....should be interesting.......I expect the Wisconsin program to come after Tony Bennett hard in late March......he will have an interesting decision to make.

Hope you come back in the future Hype. I appreciated your posts.

Hype...thanks for responding.

I hope you will COME BACK TO THE BANKS....and support the Scarlet.

Also please feel free to share your insights ....forget those who will attack you (their minds / genitals are equally small)!

We NEED connected posters like you.

Thanks

Hype--I also hope you come back. I've been living and dying Rutgers basketball for the past 45 years and always enjoyed reading your insights. I share your thoughts about EJ. As much as I like him personally , the praise he received by some for coaching a good game against Iowa is unnecessary--that should be the case every game. We also need better recruits. I'd be interested in your thoughts on next year's team if everyone returns healthy combined with the new players.

thanks for posting Hype...always enjoyed your thoughts and its a shame some posters drove you away. I pretty much was in a agreement with you last year about this regime, but this year confirmed it

Hype - I liked your post except the part where you root for our comp (though we're not really in the same class)

Hope you keep posting...I've always appreciated your insights

Always loved reading Hype's posts.

Some people can't handle the truth, and the Hype brings it.

If Hype still posted, I guaranteed you Ohio would add him to his ignore list.

Next question is who is RU Choppin Ohio.

You can read my bio on the Forbes list of wealthiest Americans under the age of 23. I'm making a final decision about financing the "RU-Choppin-Ohio Practice Facility" and plan to meet with Hobbs soon because that albatross must die.
