Who will be the starting QB?

I still don't understand why anybody puts Rettig, what has anybody seen that makes them think he's clearly the starter, other than "he's got a higher ceiling" which I don't think anybody here knows

Whoever is named the starter, I really hope the fan base stays supportive...after some mistakes and rough patches. Either guy is going to have some tough games this year...it's part of the growing process. I can hear it now, after two picks against WSU or PSU, "Put in No 2".

Conversely, what have you seen from Laviano that trumps Rettig. Laviano is the only one with some (limited) experience. Does that mean he's a done deal; no one else need apply, no matter what you bring to the table?
