Who would have thunck that Temple would be this good

Go Navy. Bryces Uncle are we still recruiting your nephew?

Looks like Temple wants to run the ball but they can probably get good results throwing.
Welp I jinxed them the WR dropped a sure catch lol

Anybody notice how Temple's KO specialist can bury the ball in back of the endzone consistently?

Forget Franklin being COY, he's not even the best HC in PA, it is Temple's Rhule.

Everyone said at the end of last season that Temple would be in rebuilding mode this year, as they had a tremendous number of seniors in 2015. Furthermore, college football fans thought that it was a good time for Rhule to move on, that's his market value was at a peak. Well, think again ...

What was your prediction for PSU?

Maybe I am late to the party but .. Navy is playing in a conference championship today even though they have not finished up their regular season. Wacky.

Although, I do like that they are having their conference championship at one of the schools instead of a neutral site.

The Army Navy game isnt a conference game. Navy's conference season is over.

Correct, however all other conference championship games occur after the respective teams have concluded their seasons. We are now officially in post season.

Temple is fun to watch.

39% of Temple's roster is from NJ.

The superstar QB is from NJ.

The leading rusher is from NJ. The second leading rusher is from NJ.

3 of the top 4 receivers are from NJ.

The leading tackler on the team is from NJ.

Temple seems to be able to do amazing things with NJ talent, maybe someday soon Rutgers will be able to do something with NJ talent.

But all conference championships are determined by conference record only.
Plus the Army Navy game was specifically moved to the week after conference championship weekend because its a special unique game. It's the only game played next week. Deservedly so.

I've liked their DC Phil Snow for a few years now, thought he would be a good candidate for a P5 DC job but I believe one Temple poster here said he's not leaving Rhule and that they're close from their time at UCLA. He's done a nice job as DC this year again with the losses on defense.

I've warmed up a little to Rhule as HC...definitely moreso than Fleck. He seems like a good motivator and without the antics as far as I know. Does he have a replacement for PJ Walker on the team. If he can continue like this with another qb then I'll be sold on him. Plus, if he keeps his DC at his side (I believe Snow is 60), I think he's got a decent shot if he ever takes the step up. Don't know that they're are any openings this year though that would fit him.

PJ Walker wanted to come to RU as a qb and Flood would only let him play defense.

Temple's D put in a very impressive performance vs. Navy's O, you can tell that Temple is a very well coached team on both sides of the ball.

Another Fudd recruiting miss is Temple DT Michael Dogbe, who RU offered very late in the process, after he had committed to Temple. Dogbe was an outside LB prospect out of Parsippany Hills, and is now starting ahead of Greg Webb.

Temple had two giant advantages today. #1 was the played them already this year. #2 was Navy lost its top two players nearly at the start of the game. Temple wasn't all that good in the second half but had a big lead.

Temple coach is a hell of a coach they graduated a bunch of kids last year and look what they did this year. Temple would have killed us the last two years.

They'd beat us easily the next 2 or 3 years if we played them. We play them in 2020. By then Rhule and disASHster will likely be gone.

Good for temple but look who they played.
Zero P5 school wins and Navy is their best win. This is filed in the no one cares category.

they beat two more top 25 teams than we did (Navy and USF both in the top 25) and lost by a touchdown to a team that beat us 38-0.
