Why are lacrosse games at Rutgers Stadium?

Is that different from their lax stadium which is Homewood Field? Not sure I saw two separate stadiums on TJHU's campus when I attended the B1G tourney in 2016. Figured both sports shared the same facility since it's two different seasons.
Football and Lacrosse both play at Homewood Field, lined appropriately for each sport in a different season. Also, it is JHU, not TJHU.

MIchigan has a new lacrosse facility so no more games in the Big House. And as I said, Ohio State plays indoors this time of year. Only Marryland is in the same exact situation as RU as far as playing exclusively in a football stadium

And Maryland won the national Championship last year.

There are a lot of reasons, but weather and field conditions are first and foremost.

HPSS is a great home field advantage. The kids love playing there. We’ve lost 1 game there in over two years, that being a triple OT loss to NC Maryland last year.

Fair enough....I thought the official name was The Johns Hopkins University such that the 'The' is part of the proper name.
It is, but no one puts a T before JHU. Just like the official name of Rutgers is Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, but no one writes RTSUONJ. Or no one writes TUOMD for The University of Maryland or TUONC for The University of North Carolina.

I agree. I guess perhaps I was trying to be deferential by including the T though I could see how it's not commonly referred to as such. Contrastingly, it is apparently referred to as TCNJ but maybe it should just be CNJ. tOSU is even more retarded. It is what it is, I suppose.

By this logic, they should have a couple classes in their somewhere. Boom.....general ledger takes a small hit and no more funding issues for athletics. .
Many schools have done exactly that. They done it not for accounting reasons but due to space and to use it for more than a few Saturdays a year.

Rutgers plays Army today. At Army. Where we always play when playing there- in their football stadium.

Yurcak was an All-American Rutgers lacrosse player. Just doesn’t make sense to me that’s all. If it’s infrastructure, fine. Improve Yurcak. Otherwise, it’s like watching professional soccer games on a painted football field. Small time.

I agree That All Soccer and Lacrosse Games Should be played at Yurcak. Yurcak's Capacity is Ideal for it and that Grass Surface is one of the best in the country.

Professional Soccer Teams Rave about it when the train during Summer Tours int he US.

No Reason to put 2,000 fans in a 52,000 Seat stadium.

"T"OSU is so arrogantly dumb and annoying I can't stand it...ALMOST as bad as "THE...U"....uhm, yeah, there are 100's of "THE U's" out there morons!
