Women's soccer final: Rutgers 4, Minnesota 1

Minnesota scored in the 3rd minute but Rutgers responded with two in the first and two in the second to put it away. Even better news: #7 seed Ohio State defeated #2 seed Wisconsin 2-1, so we will host Ohio State on Friday in the semifinals.

Other women's games: #5 Michigan defeated #4 Northwestern 1-0.

#1 Penn State and #8 Illinois are just underway.

I stand corrected. Well - it is still better to face #7 than #2. I fully expect it will be us and PSU on Sunday for the title. The semifinals will be aired on BTN this Friday at 3:30 and 6:00. They have not announced the time of each game yet.

Yup..we've already beaten OSU, no reason to think RU can't get the job done again. Would be sweet to take down State Penn on their home field for the school's first Big Ten title.*
