WrestleStat Rankings - Post Conference Tournaments

I know about your algorithms and whatnot, but its absolutely laughable that you still have Jordan ranked above Ashnault at 149 especially now that he has beaten him twice this year.

Seems like those formulas might need some tweaking as they are clearly weighting other factors (PY, etc.) too heavily.

You beat me to the punch. I cannot conceive of an algorithm that produces a ranking where Jordan is listed about Ashnault. It is not as if Ashnault has beaten Jordan but lost other matches. It does not make much sense to me.

Conversely, I don't think Nick should be #1 at 133 either. I'd be hard pressed to rank him above Fix or Micic based on past results this season.

I think he is a better wrestler than Fix and right in line with Micic, but I'd have him firmly in the #2/3 range that his point, but he definitely has the ability to be #1 in two weeks.

Let WrestleStat have their fun with their algorithmic rankings. As long as our boys STAND on the top of the podium at the end of the day in Pittsburg, that's the ONLY ranking system I care about.

Obviously it's not an official ranking nor does it have any impact on anything whatsoever but this is message board so this is literally the ideal forum to have such discussions.

Any time you take the human factor out of it and insert mathematics you get weird stuff.

None of the rankings have any bearing on anything, except for Coaches Rankings and RPI. That's why I don't understand people getting their panties in a wad over this or any other ranking.
