I would doubt that he would mention RU unless the coaches have shown interest. The same goes with the other schools mentioned. I am not saying that we would take him but we must have had conversations with him.
I will strongly disagree with you. He released these 4 schools over two weeks ago. Only one coaching staff has contacted Iowa State to discuss Downey and that was Iowa.

I thinks the odds are higher he gets kicked off the team then he wins a championship. The two seasons he been at D1 schools he been tossed before the end of the season I don't see how people think this time is going to be any better. If you read anything he or his dad says you ca tell he hasn't gown up a bit. I am all for second chances but if prison and getting kicked out of two programs didn't teach him a lesson why do you think another transfer will? You have to be pretty desperate to want this train wreck on your team.
They could clearly move from top 3 up to top 3 this year with Downey. No offense to the RU fans that want him, but I dearly want TNT to take Downey.
