So Flo is releasing their rankings one weight a day (M-F) this week and next week. Started yesterday with 125, we were not ranked in the top 20. Today at 133 Anthony Giraldo not only is ranked but got a fair amount of air time in the Podcast that accompanies the rankings.

Here is the 125 rankings and you can click to 133 from there. http://www.flowrestling.org/rankings/college/weight/125

Christian Pyles has already tweeted that 141 should be interesting.

"I wish we could just unleash 141 rankings tomorrow so I could just pop a bag of popcorn and read the hate ya'll will be feeling hahahhaha"

hah, Pyles embracing the controversy.

always a fun way to get back in to the NCAA season but not worth any amount of concern. still have to wrestle the same schedule regardless.

AA top three? $$$$
Ashnault is 7th (see below). I would've ranked him 4th & my top 7 would've been:

1. Heil
2. Mayes
3. Abidin
4. Ashnault
5. Gulibon
6. Jack
7. Mecate

He has a good shot to win it all.

yeah 141 should be a wide open and a fun one to watch. Steiber, Port and Carter all gone. I thought Mayes was the most physically imposing returning 141 lber but the way he faded at the tournament made me think the cut was too much and he'd be moving up. apparently not.

also Neff from Lock Haven should be tough, I heard he will be at 141.

but really no one there that is out of Ashnault's league. maybe someone will assert themselves at the top or we could see all the top seeds enter the NCAA tournament with multiple losses. as usual we'll know more after the early season tournaments. this is definitely a weight to keep an eye on.

Also look for Evan Henderson to drop, which will make the weight a lot harder.

Don't look past McKenna. He has beaten AA in free style and has been ranked # 20 in the World.

Perrotti at 16 at 165.

I think he'll move up higher by the end of the year but he is up a weight from last year and had some not so great losses so I think it's fair. the weight should be owned by Dieringer and after the next few guys its pretty wide open.
We'll find out how the jump in wt class effects AP on 11/15 @Northeast Duals.
Rutgers vs. North Carolina Perrotti vs. Ethan Ramos...2 NJ State Champs,2 D1 AA's,2 Horses...Facinating match-up
Also Ashnault goes up against previous AA Henderson(Flo #1 pre-season)

yeah good call. not sure how or if UNC fits both Christian Barber and Joey Ward in the line up if Henderson moves down to 141.

should be an excellent match no matter what. solid early season test.

Flo has all the weights up now. RU ranked guys:

133 Giraldo 19
141 Ashnault 8
165 Perrotti 15
285 Smith 11

too early to worry about any of it but that's a solid nucleus of ranked guys, 2 seniors and 2 underclassmen. i think the middle weights will be strong this year with Dippery and Lewis at 149 and 157 if that's how it shakes out.

Also a Rutgers fan asked CP on twitter where Phil B is in relation to making the top 20 and CP basically said Phil is 21 just missed the list.

If Camp is healthy and @weight he's a easy top 12 guy..assuming health and good wt cut
he should get to The Podium @MSG
Q for Flo: Where's Sebastian? Would think he's a top 20 guy given the good RS yr . Nickal fr(PSU) is ranked

Sebastian cutting down to 165 is the word on the street.

That's very interesting. Seems he 's been at 184 or something like that for 2 or 3 years Short, but strong , at least in NJ States , at this weight.

That's crazy. Why would he cut so much to get to 165?

Is Campo wrestling this year, as I thought he had little chance to make weight?
