Horrific NIL Numbers

I should have been clearer.

People who think NIL is causing some great inequality are foolish.
There was already a grest inequality.

Correct. NIL actually has the opportunity to level the playing field because there are no institutional barriers for any school.

If they wanted an actual level playing field in college athletics (which they dont) then look at media revenue or AD donor funds.
Both of which cause a much bigger uneven playing field.

It relates to the inequity between Indiana and non-OSU/Oregon/Cult teams this year. But yeah, does it relate to the fact that OSU or Oregon is going to win the B1G 9/10 times? No.

At the end of the day, I guess the question is, do we want RU overperforming to the tune it currently is, or to the tune of being an Iowa?

Radical move that MIGHT be our best lineup..

I guess in your mind all 4s have to be super athletic like Ace? This isn’t the nba

word is Lathan has an outside shot, has some handle, can drive/ pass. And with his size why couldn’t he play 4, for Rutgers, in 2024? If he shows the skills he apparently has

Some analysis, to supplement the snark, would be appreciated

Horrific NIL Numbers

OK. But NIL explains Indiana and the success of the non-legacy teams like Colorado.

The fact we are dead last but playing for 6th in the conference tells me we're actually overperforming.

The chances of beating OSU for everyone in this conference (just ask Cult) will always be low...but I think NIL is def a piece of being a top half team (which I think is a fair objective). If we want to be a top 1/3 team, which is within the realm of reality IMO, we have to step up in big way.

4th & 13 from our 40 vs a 58 yd FG - 14 sec to go

Who the F has time to figure out all that shit you just posted. Was the coach actually analyzing that like you just did?

Uh Me! 😉. Seriously I was yelling at the screen that Bielema was an idiot to bring the FG unit out. We wanted to see that very very difficult attempt (at that point it was to me very likely giving us the win). The TO, and the failed attempt gave him the opportunity to reconsider the obvious, and we unfortunately know how that turned out.

To me it was a moron flip flop… Bielma looked like an moron for not trying to complete a 13 yard pass vs attempting a near impossible FG… then the flip occurred… GS became the moron for giving Bielema a chance to rethink the better approach. 🤬

Similar experience here, except were are Rutgers through and through. I will say the people in the RFund (they are now all under the Foundation umbrella) get it and are generally very good to excellent. The academic side--forget it. Our RFund reps have had to carry the water for years on something we got involved in. It's to the point that we felt guilty about asking for help to get a few things ironed out to make the situation better. If it was not for the RFund contacts, we would have given up.
Yea pretty much my experience. We as a committee did our job. The University left alot of money on the table. And tarnished relationships with many to this day. This was early 2000's Wall St money.
