Ok so Lino Mark incoming freshman! I apologize i thought you meant on the current roster.

Optimistic on Lino! Undersized explosive and very fast with the ball.

I do cautiously like his potential and hopefully he picks up the defensive schemes quickly.

The other 2 are not PG’s at this level and will hopefully transfer .
There is definitely a role for JMike on next year’s team and I really hope he stays. Playing 18 minutes/game he had the 2nd highest Assist/Turnover rate in the B1G at 3.44. (the only guy ahead of him played only 10 minutes/game). He started the season shooting poorly, but improved his shooting as the season progressed. Finished at 33.3% from three, 37% overall, and 65% on free throws. JMike obviously knows the system and is a steady/efficient player handling the ball and distributing. He does need to be more selective when driving to the hoop and getting amongst the trees. And he plays very good defense on the perimeter and on the press.

Weird, feels like the Crown was invented for a team like us. Made for TV with teams That didnt make the NCAAs. NIL $& for playing too. Are we a program that can turn our noses down at non NCAAs like UNC? Maybe because we have 50,000 banners hanging in the RAC already they felt like they didnt need one more. Even though only 3 of those are for actual national championships. Oh well.
I don’t think there’s an NIL incentive attached to the Crown after all

So past few days we heard Rutgers would accept an invite then wake up to see this. Makes me think coaches wanted it but players took a pass. Perhaps this is an indication of this not being a tight group? Feeds into a lot of the narrative over the past few years that the locker room chemistry is not there. I’ve been very hesitant to jump on the ditch Pike bandwagon but there are too many indications this has been going on the wrong direction for 2-3 years. He has 358 days to turn this around for me…
So you created your own reason then go onto to explain how it needs to be resolved? Maybe it was a mutual agreement by everyone?

Agree 100%. I’m a die hard fan but if I stop caring about the players I stop caring about the team. Don’t know how much I can hang in watching new teams each year. It’s becoming worse than the pros. Another poster noted how Greg is making it work so I’m hoping he can maintain his culture.
I also think it’s only a matter of probably two to three years before we start seeing schools lock players in with multi-year contracts

OT: March Weather Banter; OG Thread Was: Winter Storm Thursday 2/20: Very Likely Somewhere Between A Non-Event and a Minor Event (oof)

Snark/shaming don't work very well, typically; this is more effective. Just changed the thread title - a few days later than expected, as I've been away for a couple of days with very little social media activity. My wife and I spent a couple of days in OCNJ and then spent today in the Mantua (SNJ near Philly) area with our son and his fiancee and her parents doing a menu/drink tasting for their wedding coming up in September (some seriously great food).

So, back to the weather, that backdoor cold front ended up being stronger than almost anyone expected, as temps never got back to 60F for most of the area (at least north of Philly/SNJ) from Weds through today. OCNJ yesterday was chilly/raw with mist and temps around 50F and today didn't get above the low/mid-50s anywhere in the Philly-NJ-NYC area with some upper 40s along the coast and in NWNJ/NEPA.

Tomorrow should warm up into the 60s, but it's going to be quite windy with gusts to 40 mph all day, followed by some heavy rain (1" or more) from tomorrow late afternoon through early Monday). Next week looks mild for much of the week (highs in the mid-50s to low 60s), but turning much cooler on Friday.

And for those interested, some long range forecasters are calling for major disruptions to the polar vortex, resulting in occasional outbreaks of significantly colder than normal weather (probably alternating with warm spells) for late March into early/mid-April, along with some storminess. Probably too late for snow for our area, but late March/early April snows are not unheard of. More likely some cold rainstorms with some interior/New England snows.

I think many of us would like to see some research on the winds this season.

Yes, we know it usually windier this time of year. But it does seem stronger and longer.

And while appreciated, thread title is still too busy. Clean it up a bit. 😉
