Told me daughter if she wanted to go to PSU she would have to pay for it also. Had no interest.
It’s not an advantage at all. Compared to your favorite team seton hall it’s not even great. Compared to our peers the apc is probably fine. An asset relatively no way in hell the gym? It’s a dump. People on this board think the rac is some great place. It’s not. It’s a dump. Our environment isn’t great. It’s shitty. Our facility and home court certainly doesnt hurt us. There aint a kid in america saying theyre not choosing rutgers because of their practice facility or home arena. They are assets, not liabilities
This season, everyone should be crying. 😭The people that donate the least cry the loudest
I didn’t claim anything. Are you drunk? If what youre arguing is true its an even bigger indictment of pike.
Youre claiming that he got gifted 2 top 5 nba draft picks without having to even pay them and was so incompetent at fundraising that he couldnt even scrap together a couple bucks to fill out the roster?
So you'd rather have Pesce? Or Kova? Please! Slow, poor decisions & lousy defense.
Miami fans don’t wait for the AD or coaching staff. They stroke the check, for Men’s and Women’s basketball. UConn fans do the same. This is the way the game is played these days.are you trying to troll
ru got a gift of 2 superstars worth close to 4 million that they didnt even have to pay...to not be able to come up with a supporting cast and find money for it is malfeasance by the AD and the coaching staff
Not at all. You seem to be arguing that we have a good nil situation relative to our peers. Are you saying we did for one year because of outside money?are you trying to troll

Our program has never been better? Sounds pretty delusional to me.
We have to deal with the way things are, not the way we want them to be. The financials are not transparent, so we either give the coach the resources to succeed, or we live with what could have been. UConn provides the support their coach needs. We need to as well.Transparency is key.
If the fan base was asked to donate towards NIL specifically for a big man, we would have raised the money for it.
This NIL operating in the shadows nonsense is horrible.
Please! Slow, poor decisions & lousy defense.Because if you don't have a legit scoring threat as your third man on 3 on 3 the other team will double team jack or nico.
are you trying to trollYou’re right bac. You figured it out. We have great nil money.
You really don’t get the reference, so let’s just let it go.You said we have the basketball equivalent of one of the great field houses. Allen field house. - ever hear of it?
Want to know more about his visit. Who hosted him and what did they get into over the weekend?
AgreedThe excuse that it was a lack of NIL that prevented pike from putting together a tourney bid quality roster (despite all the pikecanzee’s saying he put together not just a tourney roster but a 2nd weekend+ roster pre-season) falls directly on his shoulders.
There’s a narrative floating around that it’s the fans fault. Fans not willing to shell out $100/month, $50/month, $20/month, etc. That it’s the long time fans at the court clubs fault for not emptying their social security checks into funding a team. It’s all bs.
The NIL race is NOT being won and lost by fan collectives but rather it’s being won and lost by how many 7-figure check writers you can get to help you fund your roster. Folks saying “pikes trying hes going to the court club”. That’s where both you and pike are so fvcking lost.
In 2025, a college head coaches primary job is fundraising. It is the first and most important job that coach has in todays landscape. Greg has gotten creative, hes gotten folks not even associated with RU to pony up and weve seen the effects over the past 2 recruiting cycles. Pike seemingly has not.
I get pike is a hoops head and not into alot of other stuff but hes going to have to adapt or retire. Every waking hour he has away from the court this offseason should be spent pounding the pavement and meeting with any wealthy individual he can get in front of. The casual fan does not matter to NIL, it’s the whales who do.
We’ll see if he’s up for what the job now requires this offseason.
In all fairness, Pike also didn't need to go down the path he did either. It felt self serving and tone deaf. He could have just said he was disappointed with our poor play and results to date and takes full responsibility - it's his roster and his coaching - but that he knows the team has the talent to make a run still and judge him after the season. Simple and effective message that doesn't throw anyone under the bus and also doesn't gaslight the fanbase. No one wants to hear about the gpa's of paid mercenary athletes who will spend less than a year at the school.Yeah, the "issues" started when you joined the board. This is a non-issue article. Expecting a coach mid-season to "level" with a reporter on what, exactly has gone wrong in a disappointing season besides the obvious impact of injuries is disingenuous and would likely throw his players and/or coaches under the bus.
The other funny thing is seeing the anti-Ledger crowd all of a sudden loving Politi being critical of Pikiell. I like Politi and have just minor issues with the article grandstanding a bit and being disingenuous as I said above. Coaches of underperforming teams are going to get some heat - it goes with the territory. Doesn't mean anyone with any brains thinks Pike should be fired, like most of the anti-Pike morons who post here, mostly when things are bad and who are silent when things are good.
