Can we agree both sides are at fault?

We have some responsibility in THIS ERA of college sports to support our athletic department

If we don’t… well you can see already at some universities the situation they are in. Schools in each and every power conference are struggling across the board in revenue sports with no sign of a turnaround and strong evidence that their lack of funding correlates. Not just in B10 but all leagues

Can we get MORE out of our programs with stronger coaches and players for resources we have… absolutely YES but BAC you’re a smart guy and know you pay close attention to the top programs in hoops and probably football too. Do you see any universities struggling fiscally in the conversation of top 20-25 in football OR basketball … the answer is no

Do I think GS and Pike are the guys to elevate us to our max potential with what we do have available … no
We have no AD

You need to take a step away from the computer and get some fresh air.

Yea I don’t think the analysts care enough to be laughing at us. Pikiell has a ton of respect and goodwill from analysts and coaches - I’m sure they realize he screwed the pooch but also acknowledge there was way too much reliance on freshman and the supporting cast wasn’t sufficient.

We stunk this year and didn’t surround our true freshman stars with the supporting cast they deserved.

There’s blame to go around everywhere from the coaches, to the players and to the fans.

It’s not that complicated.

The season will be over soon, it’s okay buddy.
I need fresh air because you have blinders on?

Yea Pike has a lot of goodwill, and the 1976 final four still matters to recruits. Ask Andy Katz about goodwill. The honeymoon is over. And other coaches like him because they beat him. He has a 400 winning percentage in the B1G.

And how is it my fault as a fan? When Ewin was negotiating did I say no to a little more out or spite and pride? Was it me that couldn’t inbound the ball without a TO vs Iowa. Keep making excuses and enjoy the next few years. Mediocrity seems to suit you.

He is one of a few worth holding onto but not sure he should be eating up a large portion of our salary cap as one poster intimated. He needs to reshape his body and build more muscle to be effective in the post on both ends of the floor. I don't think he is mobile enough to be play the four unless we want to play zone exclusively on defense. I also have not seen evidence that he can be an effective player on the perimeter.
So, he can’t do anything we need him for. Agree. It ain’t about being a freshman. He’s a low D1 starter.
