Prediction another loss and more to come. Final regular season record 14-17 (7-13) and maybe, just maybe, we get in the Big Ten tournament.
Don't forget we'd be better once one dimensional Cam left and Gavin arrivedI miss the long novels we used to get on why Mag was a terrible player, why 2023-24 was going to be our best team to date and all of us were too foolish to see it, and why when Pike got off defense and finally got with the modern offensive game in 24-25 we’d see a lot of wins and we had no reason for concern in the summer of 24. Good times.
Lots of league parity. Correction your picks are 0-5.Sheesh 0-6
In some way in my opinion it’s easier given all the games these kids play against high level competition so they are more ready in that way then back in the 70’s. However and I think this is more important (again just my opinion) but Dylan and ace are playing against 22, 23 year old very good college basketball players that have been through the wars and in many cases have been with their program for a while. Those guys will have the advantage in closing out games and that’s the way it’s played out. I don’t think we can ignore the illnesses and injuries either if we want to look at things objectively. Doesn’t excuse the record it is what it is but it’s not really surprising at all given everything.Well, I've watched RU hoops since my freshman year 1968-69.
Thoughts on this year? Well in retrospect almost impossible to win with freshmen period.
We should have realized that.
Hey the 2 greatest frosh in RU history before these 2 guys were Sellers and Dabney. Both scored 19 and 12 per game in their initial seasons. And they were surrounded with John Somogyi who had 20 pg and the 6'9 Armstead at center who was at 13 pg. You know what their record was? 15-11.
You are saying its not worthy to post threads about 2 inch forecasted events in NJ??? Now that's something giving our parade of 1 inch storm threads this yearSo, posting what the NWS predicted is wrong? And in a thread that you insisted be started, when I was going to not even start one as I thought we wouldn't get much? That's rich.
I know this season hasn't gone as expected but shooting Dylan's brother out of a cannon seems like disproportionate retribution.Ron Harper Jr. This should be cannon by now imo.

If a player already has that great drive to improve they don't need to be taken out of the game.Yes I see a lot of this with the players. All fundamental type stuff AND drive.
Thing is we can only blame them so much as this all falls on the coaches to TEACH, MOTIVATE, and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.
It’s that last part that makes me scratch my head bc we don’t have that in the program—it only happens with select players. Take Acuff for example. Got beat on a defensive play and gets taken out yet was our only scoring option.
Ace gets beat constantly but stays in the game. Where is the teaching moment? A player like Ace WANTS to get better not coddled. You can tell by just looking at his commitment to FTs or even rebounding from what he says. Use those times to treat everyone equal and watch the change.
Would work better after a very successful season
That is true but what about those many fans that have contributed and the team still doesn't perform up to expectations? Without accountability mediocrity continues and some fans won't continue as ticket holders or financial supporters.I hate this view point and will always call it out. The small checks are just as important as the large ones. The large whales aren't coming in if they feel people aren't all in. I certainly wouldn't. Also, some small check writers turn into larger ones. The important thing is to get people to give something, its not that hard.
You can't complain we stink if you don't give, period end of story. Sorry if that upsets people but it's fact.
