Isn't this what Kevin Willard used to say about playing Rutgers?Rutgers is the big loser in this case, as we’re going to have a giant stinky Q4 landmine game every year that we’ll have to avoid to not destroy our season/seed lines. In a rivalry game which in college sports are always close no matter the records. We don’t want to be their super bowl every year … need to seriously consider this series
No. Rivera was the first player ever unanimously elected. So think about that, in particular all the previous, better players who were not unanimously elected. It was just silly for decades.I remember when I believe it was Mariano Rivera in baseball had someone vote against him getting into the HOF. That person should’ve never been able to vote again.
The pro bowl means nothing anymore in football yet that’s always listed for a potential HOF candidate. I think Eli should’ve got in over Sharpe. The voting process needs to be reviewed
The bonehead plays by JWill are mind boggling this late in the season for a team captain and leader- the 10 second violation when he was not covered; the 3 point foul, shooting early in the clock during the last 2 minutes, the walking violation. He did make up somewhat for these with his foul shooting and intensity in the second half, but still could have cost us the game. BTW, we all have moaned about the team's foul shooting all year, but this game was clearly won at the foul line.
I do have a thing w JWill, he drives me crazy, but just rewatch the first half. Even in the game thread, which I normally don't comment in, I made comments on my surprise we hadn't seen Acuff yet (while admitting JW had been at least OK to that point besides the foul), and commented on his lack of D.Look for whatever reason you seem to have a thing against J Will. I don’t know what your deal there is but this isn’t the game to pick on his defense. You said he was bad in the first half and I point out that we only gave up very few points in the 13 or so first half minutes that he played. He played 25 of 40 minutes and Illinois probably scored 2/3 of their total points in the 15 minutes he was on the bench. If you think he just got “lucky” and the guy he was responsible for just missed shots that’s probably something to keep to yourself because it’s simply not what the data says. Obviously Pike agrees with me and not you here as Acuff only played 4 minutes in this game.
An example of why counting tools doesn’t mean much unless you start with the base: can hit.Siri is a legitimate four-tool player. He provides plus-plus speed, defense, and arm strength, along with decent power.
Problem is, the one tool that he lacks is kind of important.
This is looking just like yesterday. A sleet/freezing rain event except for the far North West.
The Kutchera maps are lower across the board and with mixed precip or rain being an issue they would be wiser to use. Ratio will be below 10-1Brief 0Z model summary (globals and meso/short-range models) below and the general message for CNJ is that there's still a decent range of outcomes on the models, but they're getting closer to consensus, as they should since we're 12 hours closer and less than 48 hours from the start of the event late Saturday afternoon, which should be largely done by 1-3 am Sunday for most. I'd say we're nearing consensus on a 3-5" event between 276/195 and 78 with a little more north of 78, but more variability south of 276/195. Will be interesting to see if the NWS. Lee Goldberg and others with similarly low forecasts bump theirs up a bit.
I also don't detail which model mixes when, where and how much sleet/freezing rain/rain they might show, because that's too complicated, but, in general, mixing/changeover are much more likely south of 78 and especially south of 276/195, which is why the models show less snow there. Some of the models also show appreciable (up to 1/4" or more) freezing rain for some locations south of 78 all the way down to Philly/SNJ - we won't have a good handle on that until close to the event, as ZR is very difficult to predict.
- The GFS shows 1-2" south of 276/195, 2-5" for 276/195 up to 80 and 5-7" N of 80 to 84
- The ICON shows 1-3" south of 276/195, then 3-5" from 276/195 to 78 and 5-7" from 78 to 84
- The CMC shows a general 3-5" for everyone north of a Wilmington to LBI line up to 84
- The UK shows 3-5" from Wilmington to LBI up 78 and shows 5-7" N of 78 up to 84
- The Euro shows 1-3" from a Swedesboro to LBI line up to 276/195 and then 3-5" from 276/195 to 78 and 5-6" from 78 to 84
- The NAM shows 3-5" from a Phillly-LBI line up to 80 and 5-7" from 80 to 84
- The RGEM shows 1-3" south of 276/195 and then 3-5" from 276/195 up to 80 and then 5-6" from 80 to 84
Yeah I’m not sure of the reason nagao left minni, you gotta imagine 141 will be blaze for sure, he slots in perfect starting next year…..I agree nagaos best shot is at 133….Davis does have a shirt available, how long does lilledahl hold 125?Crazy to think few years after Nagao transferred into PSU he’s on the outside looking in for a starting spot… why did he even leave Minnesota in the first place?? They are back on the rise…. Blaze gotta prolly go 141 unless he wanna challenge SVN for 149… Nagao best shot prolly face Davis for 133 ..
Both Mirasola can get in the lineup if Barr goes 184… then that leaves out Ryder unless he wants to challenge for 197. But Barr looking like a good sized 197 now so how likely is it that he even drops down to 184 next year .
I remember when I believe it was Mariano Rivera in baseball had someone vote against him getting into the HOF. That person should’ve never been able to vote again.HOF members picked.
No Eli but a GB WR who only played for 7 years (and with Brett Favre)
"Tight end Antonio Gates, cornerback Eric Allen, defensive end Jared Allen and wide receiver Sterling Sharpe are the newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame
Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri, Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, all in their first year of eligibility, were not selected."

TE Gates among 4 selected to Pro Football HOF
CB Eric Allen, DE Jared Allen, TE Antonio Gates and WR Sterling Sharpe are the newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. They will be inducted Aug. 2 in Canton, Ohio.www.espn.com
He has 2 more years of eligibility, yes he made it down to 157 but was pretty sucked in…..even if he can hold 157 Kasak is there who also has 2 more years….messinbrink has 2 more years at 165 and Haines has 1 more at 174……he’s not beating anyone of those guys…..yes Kasak and Haines both have redshirts available but at this point I do t see either of them using them…..no inside knowledge but I would imagine Facundos days are numbered in state collegeDoes Facundo absolutely have no more chances or paths to start?? If he does, maybe he just tries to fight for a spot his whole career at PSU.. he did apparently have a case to start over Kasak and Haines still has a RS available. Michigan would make the most sense if he wanted to transfer but who knows could also just see him staying n fighting for a spot and maybe make lineup his last year like Cassar did.
Not an attack at all….i just think until you look at the bubble for 2025 you are just using past bubbles in thinkingvwhat this year’s bubbles. 18-13 could be a 50/50 based on what we know now if the bubble is really weak this year. With the lack of parity this year in major confernces that might be the case.
Bac has joined the dark side.
If I get lucky as 💩. I’d wait until draft night and hope they go 2-3 and the hype is at an all time highSame.
The only drawback to that dual auto is that the autos are sticker autos….. also, If I was lucky enough to get it—- It would be an intense moral dilemma— do I sell or keep it? LOL
