On the pass to Strong , it looked like he was tackled in the field of play . But the referee rushed in and signaled to stop the clock . Does anyone know why she did this ? Did she rule he was out? And did they wait to restart the clock until the ball was respotted ? It was hard to tell on TV

On October the 18th 1968, Jimmy Page's new band, featuring Robert Plant (vocals), John Paul Jones (bass, keyboards) and John Bonham (drums), debuted at the Marquee club under the name of the New Yardbirds. A review in the Melody Maker published on December the 21st mentioned also that the band was too loud. Two weeks after this show the band started their first American tour under the legendary name of Led Zeppelin, which was supposedly suggested by the Who's drummer Keith Moon. On the 10th of December 1968, Led Zeppelin performed their first gig at the Marquee club under that name. The band was announced on the papers with the old name the New Yardbirds in smaller letters to let the audience know about the identity of the new supergroup.

In commenting in the Nebraska gametime thread that they may be our toughest game this season, I went and looked at when we would be playing USC. Our game with them is on Oct. 25th: prior to that, USC will have played 5 straight Big 10 games without a break, Michigan (L 27-24), Wisconsin, Minnesota, State Penn and Maryland. How beat up will their lines be at that point, and how well will we match up against them. They lost to Michigan, curious to see how they fare in the next game or two.

Rutgers at Nebraska (Oct. 5) is a 3 p.m. kickoff in Lincoln, which is 4 EST. The game will be on FS1 and streamed on the Fox Sports app.
