SHI Stadium: Know Before You Go

STADIUM ENTRY
Rutgers will introduce security enhancement at all SHI Stadium gates with the implementation of a new walk-through weapons detection system. Fans are advised to arrive early to ensure a smooth entry into the stadium before kickoff. The system, familiar to spectators who have attended other events in the region, does not require individuals to empty their pockets to enter. Those attending the event are asked to follow the instructions of public safety personnel.

BAG POLICY
The bag policy from previous years remains in place, but fans with bags must enter through North Gate C, Auxiliary Gate 1, Auxiliary Gate 2 or between Gates G & H (students gate) for inspection. All other gates will not accept bags.

CASHLESS
SHI Stadium is now cashless at all merchandise and concession stands with the exception of parking lots, the ticket office and food trucks on The Rutgers Boardwalk. Cash-to-card kiosks (no fees) are available at sections 104 and 124 to convert cash to a debit card. Cards can be loaded for any value up to $500 and cards will work anywhere in the U.S. that accepts MasterCard. No cardholder information is gathered, while purchases and refunds are handled like any other credit card.

OT: Why do Universities hate funding Olympic athletes?

Carter told The Dispatch in an interview last week that athletics has been self-sustaining for more than a decade and that the university does not want to use taxpayer dollars or tuition dollars to support all of the teams in the future.

They are so quick to take credit for their accomplishments and tweet about "their" athletes making the Olympics or winning medals.

But at the same time actively try to distance themselves any sort of assistance with the training?

OSU literally just said they don't want to pay for it. And don't want to make Ohio taxpayers pay for it. How many Ohio residents are cheering were rooting for Ohio athletes in Paris?

OSU has a $10.4B budget but guess a couple million towards Olympic sports don't fit into their budget?

Great LONG Kaliakmanis piece by fonseca

This was a really good read. Always knew athan was a very good athlete as he consistently ran in the 4.6’s in his 40 but had no idea he was the illinois state champ in the ling jump and county champ in the 100 meter hurdle. And hes double jointed haha
