Don’t know why but the crowd tonight was the worst I’ve seen in years in terms of sustained noise (and I mean prior to the disappointing performance). Kind of a role reversal vs. the early Pike years but the 200 and 300 levels just didn’t have the same juice as the 100s. Hope it turns around for next weekend’s game.

Pikell does a great job with defense. However, he has been the HC now for 7 years and I can’t figure his offensive philosophy or scheme. I know it does not involve any significant use of screens. Not much in terms of motion. No back door plays. Feeble attempts at pick and roll with Cliff although not so much this year. Somebody please explain Pikell’s offense, I want to know.

This loss hurt - there is no doubt about it. We REALLY needed someone to step up and be the Go To guy on this team at the end - and we just don't have it. Tonight showed what happens when there is no good plan in place to replace your two offensive Go To guys from last year in Ron and Geo! I fear that this will not be the last time this happens. I love this team defensively, but when we get into a dog fight like tonight we need someone to take us on their shoulders offensively - again we just don't have it. Also please take Hyatt out during these times - he is really the last person I want with the ball. I think the only possible answer is fast-tracking Simpson....aside from that I don't think that person exists on this team.

Take away his entire game in the paint, and give up no clean looks from the perimeter at the same time

Are the Referees supposed to review the final play to see if the game clock started on time and the shot was released before time ran out?

Does anyone know if this is the rule in the Big Ten?
If so, then the referees missed this call as well.

Didn’t see this mentioned on here, but did anyone see Schiano run over to PSU QB at halftime and try to get in his face? Then Schiano got into with the refs….Schiano was livid.

My best guess is that he was angry PSU tried to run in the tunnel first???

I was on vivid seats earlier today and saw tickets for saturday going for $22! Isn't the face value closer to $40? Haven't we reached a state of fandom where a top 10 undefeated team coming into our house would be a hot ticket. Wow.

is spent in practice on defensive strategy vs offensive strategy? I’d guess it’s at least 75% defense.

This team has quality but is in desperate need of a closer.
