Weather for USC: it's SoCal in October, so warm/dry - easiest forecast this year (thread was for gorgeous weather for UCLA)

With today's putrid loss, I hope we're not back to the days of just hoping for great tailgate weather, but if we are, it's at least looking like we're going to have great tailgate weather again with very likely warm and dry conditions, with highs around 70F after a morning low in the mid-40s (normal for 10/19 is 65/43F)). We're a week out and it's just about a lock which is very unusual (like the forecast for today was basically a lock a week out), but the pattern with high pressure being in control is pretty locked in and there's not a drop of rain in any model within 48 hours of the game anywhere within 300-400 miles of P'way.

Coaches outsmarting themselves

The coaches need to stop outsmarting themselves and when something works keep doing it. Today for example when they switched to press coverage across the board they didn’t score, we got a sack and got the ball back. Guess what, we didn’t do it again. Same thing a few weeks ago. Kyle was running like crazy first quarter, second quarter he got 2 touches. Also had a game where offense went “hurry up” without substitutions and it was effective so they didn’t do it again .

OT: 24 Mets vs 24 Rutgers Football Message Board Threads

Please forgive me as I need to vent.
Early season Mets: Why did we pay that lousy Lindor all that money? We can't even trade him! Clearly, management has written off this season! Maybe we can get some prospects at the trade deadline.
Today: We are 2 games from possibly being in the World Series.
Early season Rutgers. Wow! We are 4 and 0. If we beat Nebraska, we will be in the Top 25 and heading to a good Bowl Game.
Today: If we can find 2 more wins, Detroit here we come!
Ed Kranepool thanks you and I thank you.

Injury Report - Awful ... Surprised Not Yet Posted

This is a real problem.

Out for the year: In addition to Brown, Felter and Toure, apparently Fletcher and Konopka are also done for the year.

Out today, also: Bailey and Aaron Lewis

Questionable (often do play), but even so: Monangai, Longerbeam, Powell, Dixon and Rogers ... and the punter, J. Anderson ... plus Wright-Collins.

Ouch.
