15-5, 6-3

From down 72-66 to winning with one second left on a 9-0 run, after gakking most of the 2nd half, allowing NE a 31-11 run from 55-41 to 72-66. Would've been a horrific loss and very damaging to our Tourney hopes. Now it's just a win. Let's hope we come out a bit more juiced against Purdue on Tuesday.

Hate to say it but we needed a game like this. I think they were starting to smell themselves a bit.

Now they can get their heads out of their assess and play Purdue like we know they are able. Killer instinct and killer defense.

Agreed. This now turns into a positive.

yep--they sure did need a game like this . No doubt they thought they could go thru the motions and beat a team they manhandled more than a month ago. Not in this league. Mack and the Icelander were unconscious from outside. Nebraska deserved the win but I'll take it anyway we can. As a poster said above, good teams find a way to win.

I know everybody will be complaining about how we sidndi play a good game overall, but it's a very good sign that we had a game where we were somewhat flat, against a team shooting the lights out from 3, and found a way to win.

We had very close losses to ranked teams in Illinois and Iowa... Now we have a close win.

15-5, 6-3 and inching closer to the dance.

I think you guys have a great team. I was surprised at how many home games you have played. 14 of your 15 wins are at home. Huge advantage. 6 of your 9 Big Ten games have been at home. So you have 7 BT road games left.

Illinois has only played 4 of 9 home games in BT so only 5 road games left although some tough ones.

Anyway, I think it’s fun for Illinois and Rutgers to turn the BT on its ear this year.

I agree. You can't take the night off against any B1G team.

Thanks but a small correction, we've played five home games in conference. We also won at Nebraska. We still host Purdue, Michigan, Northwestern, Maryland, and Illinois. Here's hoping we get some payback when you come to visit. Nice win at Michigan today.

Only 5 of 9 at home thus far. Not 6 of 9. And three of our road games have been @ MSU, @ill, and @iowa which outside of @Rutgers ( which we don’t have to play) may be the three toughest road games in conference.

Keep in mind we have 3 of our last 4 on road — at Wisconsin, PS and Purdue. I think it goes without saying that we need to win as much as possible b/w now and then. The committee doesn’t usually look favorably on poor results at end of season. Realistic 2-2 in the last 4, but given the road woes in B1G, 1-3 not out of the question.

That @PSU game will be massive it is almost impossible to win at Mackey and Kohl center

How you finish isnt criteria for the committee. Its body of work. But i do agree with you we need to win as much as possible before that last 4 game stretch

1-3 or 0-4 might leave a bad taste in the committee’s mouth. Can’t deny that. Don’t want to repeat 1998-99.

One of our remaining road games is at MSG too. Which is a big advantage for us.

Hold serve at home and get a win at neutral MSG and we’d be at least 12-8 in conference without winning another road game. Can’t see us being left out of the NCAA at 21-10.

Add a neutral site win in the B1G tourney and there’s no way they keep us out.

5 home, 4 road, moron. Come back and concern troll when you can count. We're 5-0 at home at 1-3 on the road.
