No. Just a RU moment in time. With 2 years to go for him to sign with us and unless we're his dream school for some unknown reason, this probably isn't even written on stone.
The one advantage for us if we become good in a short timeframe, not great, that could be enough to keep him. If he becomes really good, it will be a fight.
I'm curious if some here actually DO realize that MOST commits stick. Like...the overwhelmingly vast majority...okay guys??!! Are there de-commits, absolutely, expect 2-3 in almost every class, but making any type of comments regarding a kid's commit "not sticking," or it being "too far out," or "we'll see what happens when the big boys call," etc.etc. etc., are so short-sighted, even ignorant, it's scary.
Agree, this board has become a cesspool. I'm all for free speech, but the mods really need to clean this place up. It's not much better on the premium forum either.
Sorry Nuts, but this isn't "MOST commits". This is an extremely early commit from a guy making a "commitment" to a school in another state who doesn't have many significant offers. What exactly are the odds of one of THOSE guys sticking when the Big BOYS start offering ?
Still good. You do realize the average # of de-commits is about 1 in 8, right? Doesn't mean he won't, however, odds are in our favor regardless.
