5 year, 1.6 m per year Per Carino

For a guy with more success at a higher level, a legitimate B1G hire, yeah pay him - a Sendek, a Lonergan. This is a roll of the dice guy - may make it, may not. I sure hope he is a huge success! But this type of hire with more uncertainty you pay lower then open the piggy bank down the road when he has some success. Just my opinion.

Did they give a guy who was not exactly in demand a blank check? I like him but that is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for him. He had better win quick for that coin.

He's not going to win quick with this team and with no B1G recruits coming in. Jordan left a mess...not a lot of talent and no emphasis on fundamentals and the basics... In my opinion, it's worse than What Rice left is.. I wouldn't be surprised to hear of some players transferring out also. We have no choice except to be ok with this.

However, I want to see progress and accountability. We now have a better coach and I'd be dissapointed if we don't have close to a dozen wins next year provided our core underclassesmen return.

Getting this program to NIT level in 3 years is not unrealistic and should be expected.

6 years is not too long and 1.5m is not too much.

What part of "this job is career suicide" don't you guys get?

The interesting data not included is the amount of money available for assistant coaches and support staff.
