$9 Premio Sausage is just unconscionable

They give out free clear plastic tote bags outside the Stadium, you can fill it to the brim with great , inexpensive food from home and bring it into the game.. A scintilla of planning the night before (bottled water, food, poncho) makes the game day experience a whole lot better (and less expensive)

*this has been a public service announcement

Really? Because the jacktard at the gate made my wife get rid of her water.

Really.
If your water bottle is sealed, no issue. We've been bringing in about 4 bottles (unopened, fully sealed) each the past few years. Usually West Gates A or B, but it shouldn't matter.
In a bag like this , but with only clear water bottles.

That sucks. I've had a full bottle of water on each side pocket of my amazingly un-stylish cargo shorts the past two games and they either didn't notice or didn't care.

They cut the size of the sausage and raised the price. I'd say this is the biggest ripoff in the stadium. A close second has to be the $7 Italian Ice, that seems to take ages for the lady to scoop out.
premio sausage at costco is $13.00 for a 5 lb bag , 6 to a lb. thats 30 sausages, throw in the rolls and peppers and onions the salary of the server , ware and tear of the stand makes it about $5.75 profit and thats only for the first 30 sold after that it goes over 6.80 per. HANDS UP DONT SHOOT,

They sell those flooded taters but they are called something else. I tried the pulled pork samich last week with cole slaw. It was pretty big and satisfying for $7.
Found it. They call them Touchdown Tater Tots now.
$9. You can get them served in a souvenir #AshEra life raft symbolic of the abating flood damage for an extra $5.

When a rep of Sodexo was asked why they were not called Touchdown Tater Tots during the last couple of years, their reply, was "Really, c'mon."

Today I Learned...that you can bring food into the stadium.

Really??? I always thought that was a give-in for all stadiums that it was prohibited. I checked on the "Stadium policies" page and saw that "High Point Solutions Stadium regulations prohibit outside food and beverages...".

Then again, ever since I read that you can bring in sealed drink bottles (probably from this forum), I've been doing that. Is this just one of those unspoken things that they allow you to do? Do they allow you to bring in seat cushions too? I think I see people carrying those, but I thought those were things you had to pay for too?

I had the foot long chili dog. It was fine
Son had chicken fingers and fries. Also fine.
It's stadium food people

Becoming a scam at the concessions at High Point Stadium.
Sell less and less and see where the profits will drop to.
The outrageous $45 to park in Johnson Park is already keeping the casual fan away.
Now alienate our core fans. Brilliant

I don't buy stadium food. Curiously though the local high schools have been doing amazing with food. I get some $4 burgers that are better than I get in restaurants

That's true. I eat when I go to Yankee games or Giants. I don't tailgate for them when I occasionally get tickets. I know going into it that its going to be expensive, and its all just part of the event for me. I don't have kids yet, so its not that big of a deal.

The true reason I never eat at Rutgers events is because the food is terrible. I tailgate for football, but for basketball games, I often leave the game at 9:30 or whenever, absolutely starving, and eat on the way home.
Totally agree. The food is worse this year.

The sausage sandwiches are the worst we have ever tasted but they are better than the falafel bowl but not as bad as my parents homemade blood sausage.

We generally don't tail gate. My husband is a diabetic and there is really nothing at the concession stands that is low carb.

Seriously... pack the stadium for all games before you start the cash grab. Empty seats look awful on TV.

If they raised the price by $1 and committed that $1 to the indoor facility, I'd buy two.

You were harping about the price of buying 1.... If they raised the sauseeege by another $1 to donate to indoor facility you'd buy 2? Challenge !

Lol. You know food is really bad when people have to use the homemade blood sausage as a comparison.

For those of you who enjoy pulled pork, the pulled pork specialty window near section 113 (approx) has pretty good value. $7 for the sandwich on a nice role and side of coleslaw.
