I don't think we will come out flat, as something tells me that our players are locked in to the intensity and joy of winning. Our defense is very good, as is our rebounding, and on the offensive side some things are coming together, like Geo, Cory and Mike not turning the ball over and getting some boards. Just my perception, but I don't think the players will be soft. Omoruyi is too hard-nosed for that to happen, and the guys see what happens when we stay focused and are a bit chippy.

Also, Mike Williams is less than ten points away from being the 43rd Rutgers player to reach 1,000 points. Cory hit 1,000 the game before SHU, then we bet SHU, and Mike can complete the bookend by hitting 1k the game after SHU. So it's potentially three special games in a row, and I think we will be locked in.

Everything in my head agrees with you. My heart wants to agree desperately. But years of let downs in football and basketball have left me scarred.
How long will it take to get over this feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It may never leave us, but our children's children's children, they have a shot at a new psychological life. In the meantime, I will go with a combination of logic, observation, hope, and homerism. Also Omoruyi and Baker.

Now I am more depressed. However, I agree with you in that I think they will come out ready on Friday.

We will progressively win more games each season, as our recruiting and coaching are climbing, so I expect us to be happy many times moving forward. The energy is clearly here to let loose, and we will take every opportunity to let out all that pent-up frustration and heartache.

I hate having confidence in my team. The only two times this season I thought the Jets would play well and win were against the Bucs and Broncos. They were the Jets' two worst performances of the year.

We will be fine. Pike will be quick to yank any players he feels are not 100% ready.

The team plays well off the crowd support which was apparent in the Seton Hall game.Against Stony Brook the students probably will be gone for the Christmas/semester break .

Bottom line the message has to be wins matter regardless of the opponent .
