A healthy Baker wins us this game...

It’s as simple as that. Team played good enough to win. Just not on the offensive side. Geo gets us over the hump. We knew with him out there would be games like this. No surprise.

need him back ASAP
Yes, we need him back. But we lost this game because Myles got into early foul trouble and then early in the second half he got a silly reach in foul forty feet from the basket and had to sit. This gave Illinois a huge advantage down low where they got second chance rebounds and shots.

Caleb has been disappointing the last two games. Still hoping he steps up in Geo’s absence. Caleb also allowed his man to blow by him for a layup towards the end of the game which was a pivotal play.

Yeah, having him back would be awesome. But how can you say he's the definite difference? Just like everybody else on this team there's little consistency game to game. His stats aren't great. If he stays outside going 1 for 7 its not good. If he drives and takes mid range and gets to the line its an entirely different game. If he shows he's the man. He's just as capable as disappearing too.
What he gives us is 1 more option to see who's playing in any particular game.

Caleb hasn’t disappeared just hasn’t scored. We do miss Baker though.

Agree with this. Not simply a matter of plugging “good” Geo into each situation where he could have done better.

Rutgers scored a woeful 51 points which is unacceptable.Players need to step up and makeup for Baker not being on the court. The team failed to make two additional baskets which would have won the game. They had plenty open shots but shooting isn't a strength of this team .I said in another thread that I dream of the day that Rutgers has a Douby type shooter on the court .

Not sure what else you would call it if he’s taking shots he should be making and not scoring. Not questioning his effort, but we need him to be more efficient.

Baker would have brought the composure as Bethleham fan said down the stretch that was missing
I didn't see the end game cause I frankly I knew the outcome based in what I did see.
Composure doesn't mean points. But are you saying we feel apart end game ( serious question as I said I didn't see).

Confused. Did you actually not watch the end of the game?

That is what I said several times to my daughter during the game if we just had 1 shooter who can knock down threes we would be close to a top ten team

It wasn't a meltdown per se but with a 46-44 lead, our last 4 offensive plays were a turnover...a turnover on a bad play by Mulcahy...a foul for illegal screen and a missed shot by Young...in the meantime Illinois scored 8 points and our D was suspect

Not sure if that's what you're saying but Baker isn't in Quincys universe when it comes to shooting threes and scoring.

Thanks BAC. Every time I turned in while doing stuff round the house we were up and I watched this exact execution even it up. I figured I was the jinx lol. Just couldn't watch.
Could see the trend and hope for a surprise. Didn't see 1 player really owning the game cept Young, who we all killed 2 weeks ago.

I just don't know why we can't have a couple of guys embrassing the away court thing. That's all we need.
