That's sweet.
He should walk around Happy Valley in his Rutgers gear on a game day and see what we have to deal with.
And please don't bother posting your stories of kindness and caring at the hands of PSU fans if you park in a VIP lot and sit with guys in suits inside a box inside their stadium. Your gameday "experience" doesn't count to the average fan who has to walk through the PSU common folk and students who HATE you and treat you as subhuman just because where you are from is where they are trying so desperately to escape.
Anyone know who the future Scarlet Knights will be?
so the saame students who protested yesterday are going to 'conform" to rules Saturday night..ummm..Okay..
Unless his letter says the Maryland game is at HPSS next year it's not worth reading.
The broken record is tiring now. Move on.Unless his letter says the Maryland game is at HPSS next year it's not worth reading.
Unfortunately it ain't happening and THAT isn't on Hobbs (as you put it earlier...).
Last time I checked:The broken record is tiring now. Move on.
The broken record is tiring now. Move on.
The broken record is tiring now. Move on.
Is this one better:How can a broken record get "tired"?
This violates the laws of physics.
Not to mention metaphors.
Is this one better:
"The ball is in his court now."
Last time I checked:
1. Game hasn't been played yet.
2. He is the AD of record right now.
So the song remains the same.
We are already taking a hit because we're paying the Yankees for the "honor" of playing there. And the press, LOL? We have already been made fun of for doing this in the first place. So we take a hit, financially, by breaking the contract? Then he gets destroyed by the press for that, too? Listen I don't like it, at all, but you seem to be hating on Hobbs quite a bit for something he didn't put together. That's all I'm sayin'.

And I don't care whether he put it together or not but it's his job as the AD now to try and fix it. And no hate, I like what I have seen so far. A lot. But I (and about +/-25K others) will like him even more if he "gets" it.
If you ask me "late" is the Fall of 2017 not when there is a year to go before kick off.But getting this game moved has no bearing, whatsoever, on whether or not he "gets it" in the grand scheme of RU Athletics. Sorry. it's something that just might be out of his control this late, plain and simple, unfortunately.

Students will chant f Ped and who cares. This is football not a chess match.
Wisconsin fans chant "F U Eat Sh!t" and seems to working for them.
better than the hit taken next year with season ticket sales and embarassing attendence for that game bringing only 10-15K fans
The initial deal? Not him. Not blaming him for that. No one is.Again, that's NOT what I'm saying, I'm simply disagreeing with e5 that this is on Hobbs. it's NOT, sorry, in any way IMHO.
The initial deal? Not him. Not blaming him for that. No one is.
But if there is a way (and there is always a way) and it doesn't happen it's on him.
It's November of 2016 and the game is not until next year. He has some time.
What is the worst thing that can happen here?
Actually all I want to hear is the answer to my question...what are the repercussions? All your doing is laying the groundwork to blame him and say "he doesn't "get it"" for the next 12-months. Sorry, just don't agree, that's all (and, again, I DO NOT want the game up there...). [cheers]

Maybe there is an amount we don't know about where it really is an "offer we can't refuse." I could dig that.
But what I don't want to hear is "this is the first of many games with our new partner" kind of thing.
Lets hope so. But I don't think I am alone in thinking this is NOT a one and done. That is the vibe I got (unless I am wrong and Pat is so smooth he even fooled the Yankees too - lol).I thought he had alluded to the fact that this was put together previously, and there was nothing they could do at the time, no? Maybe I'm imaging things lol...I'm quite sure he understands that this probably is going to be a complete failure and not to do it again.
Julie made a bad move on this one and can't pawn that off on anyone but her. There is always a way out of a bad deal...still think Uncle Jim is pulling the strings
And if that is true, let us know..."Sorry guys it's a B1G thing nothing we can do."There is always a way out of a bad deal...still think Uncle Jim is pulling the strings
Julie ain't here anymore, it's somebody else problem now to fix or explain why it is what it is.Julie made a bad move on this one and can't pawn that off on anyone but her.
