Purdue really bad down the stretch especially getting tied up..wtf...Painter isnt the best of coaches in these situations
boy they blew it
Tough scheduling again for the B1G. Granted, the ACC is probably the better league, but the actual matchups always seem to be in the ACC’s favor. I think the B1G will be fortunate to come away with 5-6 wins this year and there is a good chance they will be 0-4 to start.
Nebraska vs. Clemson
Minnesota vs. Boston College
Illinois vs. Notre Dame
Virginia Tech vs. Penn State
Michigan State vs. Louisville
N.C. State vs. Wisconsin
Pittsburgh vs. Iowa
Indiana vs. Duke
Virginia vs. Maryland
Syracuse at Ohio State
Rutgers vs. Miami (Fla.)
North Carolina vs. Michigan
Purdue vs. Florida State
Georgia Tech vs. Northwestern
Big 10 is best conference in land from a depth perspective. So many Top 30 teams. ACC has more top heavy teams (Duke; UNC; UVA ) etc...
Which team is missing from ACC so that ND can play?
MO
Wake Forest.
Would've been an auto-win for the Big Ten, they're absolutely awful. They 've already lost to Houston Baptist and they almost lost to Western Carolina this week, both of whom will be uncompetitive in one-big leagues. KenPom ranks them 280 and 318.
And Georgia Tech was losing by 28 at one point to Northwestern.
It's really going to get on my nerves if we keep losing recruits like Alvarado and Massoud to places like that.
Both are fine academic institutions and have lovely campuses. I visited the GaTech campus earlier this month and was very impressed...Both really good schools and Wake has a beautiful campus and a former NCAA champ and NBA player as a coach to sell the program.
Pastner at Ga. Tech always reeked of shadiness, IMO. I have nothing to back it up with except a general observation and rumors.
At the end of the day, neither Alvarado nor Massoud wanted to be here over where they chose, so I’m ok with it. If Pikiell keeps finding players like Baker and Harper, the higher-regraded ones will start to come also.
