Ace couldn’t be more inconsistent. Very poor handle… very.
Dylan seemingly peaked and is not the player he was…. Injury lingered?

There’s many more players, even 2 freshman, better AT THIS STAGE.

I can’t see a franchise taking a chance on the “potential” of Ace with that high in the draft in all honesty.

Prove me wrong.

Numerous examples of talented freshman getting drafted at top of lottery from losing or average college teams
1- Ben Simmons LSU
2- Markelle Fultz Washington
3- Isiah Stewart Washington
4- Jaylen Brown Cal
5- Trae Young Oklahoma

NBA is a different beast. They draft on potential. Harper and ACE are still top 5 picks

Extremely dumb post . Big ten is a long tiring season for any player . For the first time all year they’ve both looked average however means nothing when it comes to the draft

Sure thing.
Let's all discuss it around 8:25pm on June 25th

Ace clearly is an athletic freak so see the “potential” argument, but I would not feel they comfortable if I was a NBA GM drafting him top 3

Dylan the one serious question I have is how can a guard who is a below average jump shooter 2 point and 3 point be an elite NBA guard? Yes he’s big, he’s crafty, he’s game smart. Elite NBA guard who in essence is a mediocre to poor shooter at least by NBA standards? He didn’t hit 3s in high school nor in college so it is not like he is just in a cold streak.

It’s not the team it’s the player…

Don’t see it, dude. He won’t start on ANY team currently. Too thin, too inconsistent, piss poor handle…

you've seen it...you just forgot.

they have all the potential in the world and both have put together spectacular full games and even more spectacular individual highlights.

they are currently both really hurting this team...be it from injury, frosh wall, checked out...combo of all...whatever.

but they are both special talents and probably future all-stars.

They need three years to play like grown ass men. Add 20 lbs of muscle and learn to bring it every game. They will get drafted and paid a lot while developing.

Ace is a very good player, but he will get pushed all over the place in the NBA. Harper is too slow to be an NBA PG. I won't miss either of them.

These guys got soft as ****. Guys like Embiid are gonna snap them like twigs. Imagine when one of them piss off an NBA veteran and it’s time to throw hands.

People were calling Kevin Durant too thin coming out of college. They will grow and get bigger. They’re only 18. Take a look at what Chet Holmgren looked like coming out of college

Chet looks skinny but was extremely tough at Gonzaga...

Dumb thread.

These two are going to be some of the most famous basketball players on the planet. The season is obviously super disappointing but let's hope they have fond memories on the banks because it can only help.
Could be…. Let’s hope right? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dylan and Ace have not been helped by the coaching or supporting cast this year. And I would venture that they both may be having serious regrets about coming here when Dylan could have gone to Duke, and Ace could have gone to Auburn, and if they had, both would be competing for a National Championship this year.

They can develop their shot in the NBA. Hakeem Olajuwon couldn’t shoot and was not a great free throw shooter when he left college and improved his shot, developed that sweet Hakeem shake jumper and an MVP level offensive game. Magic Johnson couldn’t shoot a jumper when he entered the league, he worked at it and developed a good outside shot. LeBron was not the greatest outside shooter when he entered the league, first year in the league he shot 29% from 3, last year he shot 41%, this year 40%. These guys work and work and work at developing their shot. If Dylan is going to be as good as they say in the league, he will need to do the same and work at developing his outside shot. He is more than capable, but do agree with you that he needs to improve his outside shot. The greats work at it and develop, time will tell if Dylan can do the same and be one of the greats.

stock is down
Exposure to the best coaches, trainers and competition in the world will change that over time. Their level of athletic and basketball-skills potential is unlimited. They are unfinished canvasses waiting to become masterpieces.

Unfortunately, they should have gone to schoos where they could have gotten better and also where they would be playing meaningful games in March. A wasted year for everyone.
