Yeh he could develop into a better ballhandler and distributor. Is he quick enough as an NBA PG?Dylan is ball dominant to the extreme. He will not waste energy running around to get passed to. He’s a 1, not a 2.

Considering how awful Ace and Dylan appear to be and it seems they won't ever develop - good thing they are leaving.
Imagine being saddled with Ace and Dylan in 3 years?
Ugh. What a terrible waste of roster space that would be......

But they aren’t and that is the problem. If Rutgers fans knew they had 2-3 more years they would be much more patientI don’t even agree with this thread but you put up the most amazing straw men sometimes lol.
Does saying someone isn’t a top 3 pick imply they are terrible?
Is there a single poster on this entire website who wouldn’t be thrilled to have Ace and Dylan if we knew they would be here 2 more years?
What would the fond memories be? Certainly not anything on the courtDumb thread.
These two are going to be some of the most famous basketball players on the planet. The season is obviously super disappointing but let's hope they have fond memories on the banks because it can only help.
I said on the banks for a reason. What would the fond memories be? Certainly not anything on the court

I think those people are talking relative to their status as top 3 players and not like in general but fair enough.Did you miss all the "piss poor dribbler" "terrible shooter" "bad shooter in HS and now college" posts?
I can quote them but didn't want to personally call out the posters.
Why would you assume they would be thrilled to be stuck with such poor players?
If I thought a guy was a piss poor dribbler and terrible shooter, I'd wouldn't want that guy on the team next year.
Why would they have gotten better at other schools?Unfortunately, they should have gone to schoos where they could have gotten better and also where they would be playing meaningful games in March. A wasted year for everyone.
I wonder who is more on point about their draft status/ NBA potential?
People who get paid to evaluate talent for a multi-billion $$ business?
or
Know-nothing idiots on a message board?

This thread is so bored and struggling that it doesn't matter how terrible it is.....there are stupid comments made all the time. Now apply this logic to all of the coaching criticisms.
How dumb can you be ? Box of Rocks Dumb .Ace is a very good player, but he will get pushed all over the place in the NBA. Harper is too slow to be an NBA PG. I won't miss either of them.
Now apply this logic to all of the coaching criticisms.
How far would their stock drop? But they aren’t and that is the problem. If Rutgers fans knew they had 2-3 more years they would be much more patient
Like running around campus on scooters. Ace seems to be loving that .What would the fond memories be? Certainly not anything on the court
How far would their stock drop?
lolDon’t see it, dude. He won’t start on ANY team currently. Too thin, too inconsistent, piss poor handle…
It’s not like the team will be much worse . They will probably finish 13th to 15th place this year .You may be sorry you said this after you see the team next year.
For whatever reason, the seat next to our group of 4 seats in 102 has been given to NBA scouts at least 5 times this season and we've chatted with all of them and they all say both players are certainly top 5. The guy tonight said Harper is the more complete player (and of course, he got to see one of Harper's best games), but Ace has a higher ceiling, even if he's a bit raw; said DH would start today in the NBA.
Yep. Mt Rushmore dumbest shit ever said on this board lmfaooooAce is a very good player, but he will get pushed all over the place in the NBA. Harper is too slow to be an NBA PG. I won't miss either of them.

Common sense to think his body is gonna look much different as a 25 year old than an 18 year oldDylan will be an All Star....I'm not sure about Ace...Could see him maybe like an Andrew Wiggins...Good pro but not dominant...He needs to get alot stronger
He is a guard, I would not worry about PG or SG.Yeh he could develop into a better ballhandler and distributor. Is he quick enough as an NBA PG?
Good hoops points, but there was simply no reason to trash Schiano in this post - it doesn't make your hoops points any stronger and, in fact, it detracts from them, by hurting your credibility. There still are so many stupid comments on here by totally negative RU fans. People just love to criticize Pike, Harper, Bailey & our team. I have attended practices since Pike was hired and have been to several hundred of them. Our kids work hard every single practice. Ace and Dylan are both only 18 and our other players might not contribute as much as we expected but the BIG Ten is rated as the second best league in the country just behind the SEC and ahead of the Big 12. Our league has many 23 and 24 year old men on BIG rosters. Our team is still rated in the top 20 % of the 369 D-1 teams in the entire country. We also have played the 24th toughest schedule in the country. Yes we have lost some games we should not have lost but not everything turns out the way we always want things to. Some just love to rip our coaches and our players to make themselves look good when most probably never even competed in high school or college sports. It is easy to sit behind a desk and type negative comments. Coaching and participating are not easy. I like fans who root for our team and stick with our team through thick and thin. That is what I have done since 1971. We don't need "fans" who just jump on board but really are not RU fans for very long. We had not been to the NCAA for 30 years yet Steve got us there twice and it would have been 3 years as when the NCAA was cancelled in the covid year we were ranked # 28 in the country. Steve is not perfect but he isn't the one making bad passes and missing shots. We don't have the large NIL monies that many other blue bloods do. I just wish some would think before posting such harmful comments that they post. Does that make you feel better? I don't see so many criticizing our football team yet our coach has never won a championship at any level, has yet to even once having a winning record still in a BIG Ten season. He never won in the BIG East or the AAC as well and he makes $ 10 million a year and has had two stadium expansions and this past season we were only 7-6 without playing any of the top 6 teams in the Big Ten this past fall. We had the easiest schedule of any team in the BIG and we still struggled. We fell apart against Kansas State after being ahead by 3 scores in the last 18 minutes. We also blew a game with 14 seconds to play on a 50 yard touchdown pass with only a couple guys back on defense but little is said about that. Some bragged when we defeated Miami in last years bowl game when they had 16 players not play in the game before the NFL draft. It was like without 16 starters we played against a Miami JV team. It was embarrassing.
Not worried at all...he's going to bank. I really haven't followed the NBA closely in many years so perhaps he does have plenty of speed for the current game as a PG, but his future is bright also as a combo/2G imho.He is a guard, I would not worry about PG or SG.
The trashing of football by some is very strange.Good hoops points, but there was simply no reason to trash Schiano in this post - it doesn't make your hoops points any stronger and, in fact, it detracts from them, by hurting your credibility.
No, it’s relevant. Double standard. Judging by conference competitiveness, Pike has been much more successful.Good hoops points, but there was simply no reason to trash Schiano in this post - it doesn't make your hoops points any stronger and, in fact, it detracts from them, by hurting your credibility.
Ace couldn’t be more inconsistent. Very poor handle… very.
Dylan seemingly peaked and is not the player he was…. Injury lingered?
There’s many more players, even 2 freshman, better AT THIS STAGE.
I can’t see a franchise taking a chance on the “potential” of Ace with that high in the draft in all honesty.
Prove me wrong.
Really strange how you complain about posters criticizing Pike & then you do the same thing, you are complaining about, to SchianoThere still are so many stupid comments on here by totally negative RU fans.
