RU had other, higher rated (in their opinion) RBs targeted in that class. Everyone was aware of Wadley, similiar story with Frank Darby, who wound up at Arizona at last minute.

Heck Iowa got All American LB Bob Diaco out of little Cedar Grove years ago, Iowa has a good eye for talent and develeopment.
