I never heard of the color guy (Baha?) but he was a terrific analyst.

Fair, balanced, thoughtful, mostly right on.

Kevin Kugler is a good professional voice.

I often don't like the games on FS1, this was terrific.

And such a great win.

Go Knights!

I think they were enjoying the game; it was a high quality one. They were blown away by Ace. It was like nba jam commentating

“That’s ridiculous”

“Wowwww”

Sorry I missed this aspect. I mentioned in the game thread that I had put the game on mute early in the first half. I think it was more because I was trying to do some reading while watching and then I never put the sound back on. I thought about it down the stretch but got a little superstitious.

Good job but I always enjoy the announcers more when we win! The mention that RU needed to swing the ball to the opposite side was right on and RU did just that almost immediately after he mentioned it.

Ditto. Told the viewer that nebraska doubled every post entry.

Funny and dumb bringing the double on martini

A few basics I always drilled into my teams

- if you’re double teamed someone SHOULD be open (the “should” comes down to if your teammates move with purpose or not)

- if your man double teams the ball you MOVE to give your teammate a better passing opportunity… get in a passing lane (move with purpose)

- facing a man-to-man D if you can see the back of your defender’s head he can’t see you so move to the basket or to open space with a passing lane for a shot (move with purpose)

It’s basic stuff that comes down to seeing the court, moving without the ball and proper spacing. DON’T be a spectator on the court. It’s crazy how many times good players don’t take advantage of what the D is handing them. How often there’s bad spacing so a defender can basically cover 2 men, or a player just stands waving their hand to say “I’m open” but it would take a crazy pass to get it to them.

The best teams move with purpose (this is what is meant when you hear the announcers talk about execution). The best teams (not necessarily the best players) are excellent at court spacing and movement. It’s why lesser talented International teams USED TO beat the USA teams all the time.

Last night we executed better and I wasn’t yelling at the screen about player movement and spacing as much as past games 😊

PS - this stuff is SOOOO teachable using game film. Good coaching will make this second nature (eg Iowa, Wisconsin, Purdue, …)

Seriously? Listening up those guys, you would have thought Nebraska was the greatest team ever. It was like listening to Mel Kiper during the draft talk about how each guy is going to be a hall of famer.

But the worst part, by far, was there obsession with Connor Essegian. You would have thought he was Jordan in his prime the way they talked about him.
