She is currently the head coach of Wagner and while she has only been there for one year she has done an outstanding job; She has a very impressive coaching resume as an assistant and the other major plus is she is a New Jersey native which is very important on the recruiting trail

I disagree about the NJ thing. Just get the best coach you can wherever they are from.

Look at what the Softball coach is doing. She probably never stepped foot in NJ before she took the job.
I know not the most important thing to be from Jersey but doesn't hurt; Also have to figure Hobbs won't make a move till the NCAA tournament is over so more coaches are available

1) Other recent hires have proven you do not have to be from New Jersey.

2) I highly doubt Hobbs is waiting around until after the NCAA tournament. My guess is this will be done before the baseball regular season is over in 11 days.

Agree with Cali, get best name coach available. Years of proven results/ experience. Recruits will flock to a winner.

Was looking at Women's bracket to see what teams playing, 28 teams are in. Men's need to follow suit. Too many good teams left out.

Agree wholeheartedly on all counts!!

AYN ,if you were betting the ranch, will we also be looking for a new baseball coach in a couple weeks ?

Unless we win both series, finish 5th or 6th in conference play, and win some games on the B1G, I would certainly think he’s gone. #deadweight

Maybe the Fraziers can bring some lights from one of the Toms River fields with them. I have a pick-up so I would be happy to help out.

The “coach with established local ties” and “recruit locally” paradigm have not worked in generations. Provincial, circle the wagons thinking. Do not rely on recommendations from experts. Look for proven, successful coaches. Look for talented athletes who want to compete on a big stage.
I am a broken record.

Mr Twister always make sure you have paradigm and junior college in every post.

Believe me, after being a Rutgers sports fan since 1976 I have lost track of how many top New Jersey athletes didn’t come to their own university. At this point, I don’t care if every athlete at RU comes from Alaska.

Has Brand finally been canned?
