Okruch should be history after the season and Mehringer needs to learn for a few years under a veteran OC.
Who would you say we keep and who would you say needs to be replaced? The entire coaching staff needs to be evaluated at the end of the season by Ash.Replacements will cost more money.
You do realize that Gio is playing injured right?
I'm positive an experienced OC would do better with this unit. We'd still lose most if not all the games we lost, but play would be better. If you think a veteran coaching staff could do anything with this offensive unit, please come back to earth
He's not injured, he's just not that good.
I said it when he was hired that I was skeptical although many were quite excited especially on the recruiting front. I wouldn't have had any issue if it was like Jake Spavital when he was at Texas A&M or Lashlee at Auburn who had offensive minded HCs above them in Sumlin and Malzahn. Ash obviously is a defensive coach so the youthful hire gave me pause. That being said I'm still willing to give him a fair shot waiting to see what he can do when his recruiting kicks in. Even if I didn't have that patience though, I don't think a change would be made by Ash anyway. I'd be surprised if he does.Guys... he was 27 years old when he was hired. His only OC experience was as a co-OC at JMU for only 1 year. He wasn't even a solo OC. On the FBS level, his highest experience is WR coach. Time to open up our eyes and realize this was a horrible staff decision by Ash - especially when your head coach is not an offensive guy.
