Anybody else worried we're going to run out of schollies?

Let's simply take a look at the amount of deflections from 2013-2015. LJ Liston, Bryant Gross, Nick Internicola, Josh Klecko, Taylor Marini, Dontea Ayres, Nadir Barnwell, Sam Blue, Darian Dailey, Andre Boggs, Jacob Kraut, Donald Bedell, Logan Lister, Kamren Lott, Sidney Gopre, Justin Nelson, Cal Ibanez, Anthony Folkerts, Marques Ford, Al-Kadair Ports. That's 20 guys. I really think there's no need to worry about the 85 limit.
Don't forget about Ted "Haystacks" Field!

From what I understand, the 28 limit does not apply to players who enroll in January. There is a Big Ten rule, though, that you can only sign up to 88 total players (so, if you have 65 on scholarship, it would cap you at 28).
This is correct. The limit of 28 only applies to student athletes who sign letters of intent between NSD and May 31st, however The Big Ten rule required schools to always stay within the 85 overall limit. The 2016 class is 18 players, four of whom enrolled in January and can count against the 2015 class. This year Rutgers can take 25 for 2017 summer or fall enrollment and up to 11 January enrollees to count for 2016, provided we do not at any time have more scholarship players plus signed commits than the maximum 85.

I thought I read that the Big Ten allows you to oversign up to 88 on the assumption that 3 scholarship players will move on before the class gets to campus in the fall.

I didn't think so but I could have misunderstood. I'll look it up in the morning if I have a few minutes.

I think we can all agree this thread is why everyone is committing. The recruits must have seen it and got worried they wouldn't have a spot. :sunglasses:
