I will be going up to Michie on Saturday with my wife and kids for the game. I was supposed to have a parking pass, but it fell through. You can't buy them anymore through Army, as we are within the 2 week window for the game. Stubhub has a few 'General Parking' passes available, but they are $55+ when factoring in fees. According to Army's website, you can buy them on gameday for $20.

To anyone who has been there before, assuming I get there around 10:00 am, can I expect to be able to find parking still available, and if so, about how far will I be from the stadium? I am ok with a little walk (think Purple lot), but would rather avoid a 'RAC' lot type of situation if possible. More importantly, I don't want to get there and have an issue of not being able to park. Am I better off just buying the General Parking pass on Stubhub (it doesn't seem much different than what I would get on gameday, other than I would have it in hand). Appreciate peoples input in advance. Thanks.

Probably will end up with a RAC scenario if you buy from Army. They run busses often but may have a little hike to catch bus depending on where you park. The view from the busses are much better at Army than from the trip from the RAC. Kids may enjoy views of river on trip from lot to Stadium, plus you get to see some of the campus that way. You should have no problem getting parking at 10:00. Getting into complex takes a long time so may want to give yourself some time to get there.

That's basically it with a few additional provisos given what happened in Paris. Be sure BOTH you and your wife have your drivers licenses, as they have asked for those at the entry gate ever since 9-11. Also, specifically the year of 9-11 (my family had season tickets up there), they had virtually 100% of the cars entering pop their trunks and 20% pop their hoods. Obviously that slowed things way down. I wouldn't be shocked if that were reintroduced this weekend.

You will be going through a military checkpoint. Everyone over 16 must have a valid current ID. All vehicles are subject to search...and they do random searches. So for you NRA freaks, leave your guns at home.

Im also showing up around 9 and wondering what the parking pass situation is like. 20 bucks on site is a good deal id thats the case. Anyone have any insight?

I just ended up buying a pass for the H lot on stubhub for $50. Not sure how much better that will be vs game day general lot parking, but at least I have something in hand now.

In the past, H lot was handicapped parking. You may have issues if you don't have handicapped license plates or one of those permits you hang on your rear view mirror. Better check to see if that's still the case.

Yikes, hopefully not. I just checked both the Stubhub listing as well as the Army website and didn't see any restrictions listed. That would definitely suck.

I missed securing a pass from Army by 1 day myself. My group will be up there by 8:30 and don't expect any issue. Coming in the Thayer Gate (I think ) in hopes of parking near the river.

That lot does have a handicap logo on this map. Not sure that means you'll be dragged before the provost marshal if you show up without a hang tag.

Only if you leave your Vendetta mask home.

Could also be that there's a handicapped section of that lot with restrictions limited to that portion.

For the record, when we had season tickets we were in "C" lot, gotten through seniority (my uncle was West Point '54) and a donation to the Association of Graduates (something RU season ticket holders should be familiar with)

I just called the Army ticket office (very helpful) and they said it has a handicapped section, but is not a restricted lot in the sense that it requires a handicapped plate/hang-tag to enter. So, if you have an H lot pass you should be good to park there, regardless of your handicapped status (or lack thereof). There are a few H lot passes still available on stubhub if anyone is looking. Thanks again to everyone for your input.
