Ash has to be questioning what he got into

Enough about the players! I remember Hicks kicking some butt last year. I remember Martin having multiple 100 yard games last year. I remember Patton and Agudosi catching the long balls last year. I remember blocking punts and kicks last year, heck I remember actually scoring points .

I don't remember watching a game with the score being 9 -0 after some very good defensive stops and thinking "we lost this game, we cannot score" in the first half.

----
The defense played an entire half well enough to win....... we will tell you over and over that the offense is the main problem..... the three and outs on offense put too much pressure on the defense in a 60 minute game...

I'm just adding commentary and perspective from the other side here so don't take it the wrong way.

Our OL last night was nowhere near what it was a few weeks ago when we had both starting Ts. Nelson is solid and Mahon has been graded as the #1 lineman in CFB two different times this season and at two different positions (TR/LT). Gonzo and Dowrey are major downgrades and Chasz Wright is still a year away. Hamilton played well for RU but I couldn't name another player along the front seven that stood out at all.

We are a second half team. Been the one major complaint about Franklin and our team this season. We start slow and it happened again last night.

I thought your Saquon made some very, very nice plays last night. Wasn't really keying on him so I'm not going overboard but he stood out as a casual observer. Hope he is a young kid you can build with.

ash just commented on the post game interview that our OC called a lot of good plays and he sees better things ahead for this team. i hope he means he is going to throw in the towel after maryland
Ash is not going to throw his OC and other staff under the bus yet!
His post game comments & observations were a bit bizarre!

On offense last year versus this year, the only player we are missing is Lumpkin?

This year, we had 87 total yards of offense? Maybe they should have considered running a slower offense so as to give the D a break? Or is "that's not what we do"?

Patton showed promise under Flood, as did Agudosi and the TE's. Where have they been all year? Did our TE/Agudosi even catch 5 passes combined all season. All I remember is sweeps with Hicks which run east and west for 15 yards until there is nowhere to go, or faking a sweep so they can handoff inside for a 2 yard gain. There is no creativity on this team. They run plays that nobody on the team does well, and then call it immediately after it fails the first time. I've never been so confident to know the game is over after the other team scores first, even on a field goal. There is literally 0 chance of coming back from 3-0 for us, against a decent team.
