I get that he has to finish out. Never thought that was a big deal. But does that mean OSU-centered tweets too?

What color shoes is he wearing? If they are red I am fine. I have committed to a new job. i had to give 60 days notice....i still respect everyone I am working with and look forward to moving to the next spot....

Thank you for this non-thread trying to be a thread.

its publicity...its another line on his resume. He can use all of those as talking points with recruits. What don't you guys understand? Have any of you ever been recruited? Kids have a lot of questions and the best kids have people around them who know what type of questions to ask....

"Come to Rutgers, I was co-coordinator in the Fiesta Bowl and tweeted a picture of the plane".... I'm sold!!

Either I am missing the sarcasm, or you are insulting our new coach by trying to demean him and label him a "co-coordinator" when everyone knows he runs the show.

If you are being sarcastic, no problem.

If not, go pound sand and root for another school, because you're not rooting for this one.

Is it January 2 yet? Sorry guys but not feeling good about this and no advantage to RU.

You are a broken record.

Just because you keep saying no advantage to RU, doesn't make it true.
There is no black and white here.

You might not like the advantages or give them much value, but Ash can spin this positively on the recruting trail, as well as within the program with how he deals with his assistants and players.

If you cannot acknowledge that, too bad.

The concept of notice here is clearly distinguishable. During the period of time you give notice, one typically does not actively promote a soon to be former employer who will shortly become a competitor. You finish your job quietly, with the focus always being on your new employer.

Coach Ash tweeted, 'welcome to the Fiesta Bowl', without actually mentioning OSU. Everyone understands implicitly that OSU is playing Notre Dame in this game, Ash is leaving to be head coach at Rutgers University full-time after the bowl game, that this will appear on his coaching resume and recruiting pallette for Rutgers, and that there are pros and cons to RU as a result of the decision to coach in the bowl game. In fact, nowhere in the noted picture does it say OSU and one could argue that the scarlet apparel being worn could just as easily promote Rutgers football. If you're going to use an analogy to make your point, at least make sure that it's a correct one.

The fact that I even bothered to explain why this tweet is not a reason for grave concern is scary to me.

He's promoting the Fiesta bowl, he's not going to be competing against the Fiesta bowl.

He should be driving around NJ, PA, NY meeting high school coaches. Not getting a good feeling about this guy & his staff

I really hope Ash sees these threads. He would get a real laugh out of some of you sensitive guys with your hurt feelings. If you did not want a man of character who follows through on his commitment to his current team maybe you ought to have lowered your standards. You few folks whining like a little girl who needs attention need to get a life. And I do realize it is just a handful of posters.

I know right? Not like he hasn't been working insane hours and wearing his Rutgers HC hat at every moment he can. Have you not read any interviews with him? He's doing everything he can while in Columbus. Get a grip. Let the man finish his job

Some of the ones who don't want Ash would rather have Al Golden, who couldn't recruit Miami kids to go to Miami or Greg Schiano who left Rutgers in such a bind that they were forced to hire Kyle Flood.

There is no value to micro analyze every single step this guy takes.

All I care about is rooting for OSU to win their game 21 - 0 on three defensive TDs.

I too feel like our AD made a mistake to allow Ash to continue at OSU after an offer was extended. That was clearly a mistake, but that ship sailed already, it's over, please move on. Why don't we focuse on what needs to happen here to improve our football program. He'll be here on 1/2/16 and will have 30 days or so to land some decent recruits.
