as freshman. Have a chance to be Girault-Greene type of secondary mainstays
Wharton's Interception was Excellent. The ball was not badly thrown. I don't consider that a Indiana turnover. Most average DB will not make that play.Isaiah's Instagram.
First collegiate interception. All glory goes to the man above.

I really like Jarius Adams as well. He looks like he's going to be a player.
In two years with these guys plus people like Rene coming in our secondary has the potential to be really special.
I'm all for a silver lining but Indiana just put up 52 on us and the QB set a personal best for passing yards in a game by the end of the first half. This is why people get disappointed. There is really nothing to substantiate a claim that this secondary "has the potential to be real special". If they show incremental progression all the way through their seniors years the secondary will be just fine and that'll be a good thing.
With a crippled defensive backfield, Saturday could get real ugly. As an advisory warning, would suggest folks stay away from the computer until 11 PM ET.
What a Debbie Downer. I didn't come out and say it was a sure thing. If you do not see that this secondary has potential then you are blind.
Next year this years weakness will already become a strength...if Hamilton comes back so will our DL be solid. What a Debbie Downer. I didn't come out and say it was a sure thing. If you do not see that this secondary has potential then you are blind.
So let me ask you, if it is "beyond a reach" which guy out of the bunch has zero chance of being really good? Let me guess you don't know, but somebody has got to suck right?I took your post as stated. Potential to be "really special" is beyond a reach at this juncture. Are you scarlet colored glasses to big to see that? And BTW, I did not say they did not have potential to be a good secondary. I said they can evolve into a good secondary over a long period of sustained improvement.
And to the poster above about receivers being wide open. It is a combination of both players and coaches no doubt.

This group has a VERY good chance to be among our best since Schiano was coach...we have had a least 10 reach the next level ...Austin , Hester , Wharton can be very special...people say Adams is very talented...the fact that Sudfield put 686 yards up .... though not good is what a premier 4 year starter does...and please don't forget about his 3 very good WR's especially Jones Jr....we did tighten it up in the 4th quarter so let's let them just play.Again, I'm not staying they won't be good. I think we're stuck on the
Ah this where I think we disagree. I dont think every person on that group needs to be special for the group as a whole to be special. But every person has a chance to be very good.Again, I'm not staying they won't be good. I think we're stuck on the "really special" designation. Blessaun has all the physical traits is nominate him. To me the Mccourtys were really special DBs. Marcus Cooper was really good but I wouldn't say he was really special. I'm saying it's defitnitely too early to compare them to the Mccourtys and really too early to compare to a Marcus cooper type. Or even Toler, etc

The best thing about freshmen is next year they will be sophomores. Add that to the flashes these guys have shown in their first half season of college ball, and you have to be excited about their future.
