Watching B1G games...do you root for upsets or favorites so RU can beat teams in standings

Root for the teams that we have no shot at beating in the standings (Purdue, MSU, Mich, OSU and would have said minne prior to the Lynch news). So basicially don't root for upsets.

For the top of the league, I root for favorites - because I'd like the B1G to get good seeding in the NCAA tourney, and upsets don't help with that (and we're not catching those teams anyway).

For the bottom of the league, I root against the teams closest to us in the rankings, because I want to move up.

No question for me, I want to see us finish as high in the standings as possible. I'm rooting against all of our tier as the season moves along.

Can't argue. As much as I love upsets nationally, I don't need teams in our neighborhood doing something big and hurting the league perception.

One of these years, we'll be in position to be concerned about the league's perception.
