Watching the end of the Rutgers Women's BB game against Minnesota, and watching how many clutch Ft's they hit, I wonder why our men's team can't come close to that production.
Women have smaller hands.Maybe because the women’s basketball is smaller.
Women's basketball is a totally different sport, less athleticism and more fundamentally focused. Girls simply can't attack the rim, so they are going to focus more on their shooting because ball movement and hitting shots is their MO. In mens basketball a kid like Corey Sanders or DeShawn Freeman were more athletic and able to get to the rim throughout HS so they didn't need to focus as much on jump shots since no one could stop them in close.
The women shoot 68% vs 62% for the men.Watching the end of the Rutgers Women's BB game against Minnesota, and watching how many clutch Ft's they hit, I wonder why our men's team can't come close to that production.
Never understood the women’s basketball for women. They could play with a regulation ball just fine.Women have smaller hands.
Tyler Scaife makes 84.6 % of her free throws!Never understood the women’s basketball for women. They could play with a regulation ball just fine.
That was a great effort, no doubt, but not the norm. Still kills me that they got 15 ft attempts to MS 34 attempts, sickening.Home court advantage, or home court robbery? In addition to their basketball being smaller, women also benefit from their bodies having a slightly lower center of gravity. That being said, the men shot 13 of 15 from the free throw line against Michigan State. You can't ask for much more than that.
I suggest you go to a WNBA game the women have unbelievable intensity. The play just as hard as the men. The difference between men and women is that the women are much more honed I to fundamentals whereas the men care more about playing above the rim...they done realize much more happens below that 10ft than above it. Very similar to the move to the long ball in baseball. Today's player in baseball cares more about hitting 500ft HR's and less about doing all the small things that wins gamesWomen's basketball is a totally different sport, less athleticism and more fundamentally focused. Women don't get a fair shake...women golfers are every bit as good as The men from160-170 and in. They just don't have many that can bomb it 300 plus every driveI suggest you go to a WNBA game the women have unbelievable intensity. The play just as hard as the men.
