Best halftime show in 20 years!

Our band faces the camera at halftime. Remember Schiano switched the home side to the east stands when he realized the visitors and visiting coach had been getting all of the facetime on TV broadcasts.

By the way, it seemed to us in section 220 that the Maryland band was some how miked up while they sat in the upper deck on the other side of the stadium. Louder than our band and somewhat annoying when our offense was on the field. Thankfully the visiting band was not at the wrestling match.

I never heard their band in section 105 until the end of the game. It may have just been that you were so close to them?

Sorry. I'm not. What I am is the frustrated father of a high school band senior who I really wish would attend Rutgers. She wants a school with a big time band and she, and many of her friends don't see Rutgers as an option.

Her top 5 are Michigan, Maryland, Pitt, James Madison, and UMass.

Call it weeding out the ones who aren’t going to put in the effort. I know I wanted more out of the band when I was a student. Sometimes it was too easy.

First off, Maryland and Pitt bands are not as good as RU. Simple. Watch the halftime shows, watch the BTN replays of when we score a TD - how loud the band sounds compared to the others.

As for Michigan, JMU, and UMass, I mean those are 3 of the biggest probably 8 or 9 bands in the country. That's like saying "you know I wanted my son to play football at RU, but instead he's looking at Alabama, USC, and Notre Dame. Sad times at RU..." ... GIMME A BREAK !! Right now, the Marching SKs have to do what the football team is, and that's be better than the Marylands, Northwesterns, Minnesotas of the Big Ten. And down the road, Michigan, OSU, MSU, etc. Which I think they are at least on par with or slightly above ones like Minn and Nebraska (go watch their halftimes on YouTube from this season and compare that with RU), and have passed NW and Maryland and a few others .. it's not all about the numbers, it's about how entertaining the show is. RU Band is headed in the right direction!
