Best RU squad since?

I am sorry that arguement holds little weight with me. Mike Williams, DeShawn Freeman and Geo baker were workable pieces.

Corey sanders had to have the basketball in his hands to be effective offensively. He was a terrible shooter.

We are within a few wins of winning more B1G games this year than Corey won in his entire career. I never got why fans blamed everyone but Corey for averaging 2.33333333333 wins.
Because his supporting cast sucked. Are you blind? Did he get Mike Williams the great high school three point shooter or the below average one we saw at Rutgers . How many more games would we have won if Mike or Issa hit the wide open threes that they got when Corey passed them the ball? Is Deshawn’s low post game anything close to what Myles, and bothShaquilles are giving you. His game resembled Eugene earlier when the ball was sticking in Eugene’s hands and over the last 6 games or so, Eugene has turned into an assist man. You really do not realize how a low post game and more options that these freshman have provided would impact the other team’s defensive plan as they could not just concentrate on Corey. You hate for Corey is making you blind, go get some glasses.

Get over your hate of Corey, it is foolish and dumb.

It's not a hate towards Corey. It's more of sticking up for the other players that fans think we lost games because they weren't good enough.

If Corey had an outside shot 2/3 of what Carsen Edwards had I can promise you would have won 6 or 7 games per year instead of 2.333.

How do you win in college basketball with a guard that dominates the ball and has no outside shot?

Despite what people want to believe there isn't a ton of talent on this team. The chemistry is good/great, they share the ball, they are bad shooters and somehow our offensive efficiency numbers are MUCH MUCH higher.

I like how this team is turning out and their toughness, but claiming we are better off without one of the better players in the Big 10 is just lunacy

Corey can't shoot. That is almost the same as a QB who isn't an accurate passer. It is a tool a point guard can't be without. That basically disqualifies him from any discussion as one of the better players in the B1G.

If Corey was so good why didn't he make 1st,2nd or 3rd all B1G or honorable mention? There were 7 B1G point guards on one of those teams.

Regardless if we could have been better with Corey, which is possible but not a certainty, as a long suffering fan I’m happy with the guys we have playing this year. It’s just a far more exciting team and it’s damn fun to watch them compete and develop into a true team that can beat anyone in the B1G in any given night, despite our youth and inexperience.

Cory never had any intention of staying for a fourth year, so no use thinking about what might have been
