Bob Bowlsby reportedly will advise the Big 12 board to expand on Tuesday’s meetings

I'll be surprised if the other 4 Texas schools vote to add Houston. I could see BYU, Cincy, UCF, UCONN.

The only logical reason I can think of that would cause sudden Big XII expansion, would be the departure of Texas. Texas leaving would also shake loose OU and Ok St. if they had somewhere to go.

Would the PAC-12 take Ok. St. and one other Texas school to get Texas and OU? The answer was "NO" a few years back as we saw, but that was before the B1G $$$$ numbers were recently revealed. I think that has changed, and PAC will make a move. BIG XII news is not about expansion, but pre-emtive replacement.

If Texas leaves, ESPN can shift LHN money to ACCN. Maybe they already know this, hence ACCN news we just heard.

Does the B1G step in and grab TX. I find it interesting that OSU has scheduled Texas and ND in 2022 + 2023. Remember when we scheduled a home at home with Maryland prior to our B1G invite? ND and Michigan are talking about renewing series.

Money talks. Just saying.

UConn might not be able to get by Memphis if FedEx starts supporting the FB program like they do Memphis' MBB program and the Liberty Bowl gets a major upgrade.
Memphis' TV market isn't great 44th in nation. UConn's Hartford/New Haven TV market is rated at 30 which might make a difference between the two if the Big 12 is going to judge them on TV sets.
I think BYU will get an invite and the other invite will be between Cincy and UCF.

But I won't take Memphis out of the picture if their booster City and State of Tennessee step up and put the funds up to modernize the Liberty Bowl and support the Memphis Football program with the money top programs need to succeeded.
