IMO..it (clearly) throttled him back last night. Playing more under control.

I thought prior he had been trying to do too much. To the point of flopping and refs not giving the call, taking the 3, and holding onto the ball.

Give me last night plus 25-35% going forward. I think that helps his play, the team, and his kneecap.

Made the same comment in the game thread. He played slower and more in control, didn’t try to do too much.

I also thought there would be a silver lining. Mathis stepped up big time during his absence. In fact, all the freshmen did.
